Curled up against Noah's body, I let my body go lax. I relaxed entirely into his body.
His hands made slow circles on my back, and the knots I didn't know I had started to loosen.
"Is Harriet okay?" I asked after a while. It had been hours since my best friend practically fled away from us, and the question had been nagging at me for a while now.
Noah sighed, the sound rumbling through his chest.
"Yes. She is."
"What was that all about though? I mean, earlier when we were all together?" I asked. Noah had gone in to see her, and he had stayed in there for a while.
I figured that maybe she told him whatever made her act weirdly, and well, I could not help wanting to know.
After all, she was my best friend. And I was allowed to be worried about her.
Noah sighed again, a deeper one this time.
