Life was good again.
I had gone through a lot to get to where I was today, but even if I had a chance to change my past, I would not change any single thing.
Because every single thing that happened to me had led me to the greatest version of my life.
Luke rapped sharply on my door before he opened it and stepped inside.
"Hey."
"What's up, Luke?" I asked as he closed the door behind him.
"I just wanted to tell you that everything is ready. You're…uhm, free to go."
He looked nervous, like there was something bothering him. Something he didn't want to talk about.
I knew what that something was though, and well, it was a little bit surprising that Luke was nervous about this entire arrangement.
He had always been a very efficient personal assistant. I knew he would do a great job managing the company in my absence.
I saw no reason for him to be nervous. But for some reason, he was.
I sighed and pressed my hands to my temples.
