Liam's unfriendly aura vanished immediately, and he smiled. "Just kidding, just kidding," he declared, but his eyes, when fixed on Catter, held another meaning.
Lily breathed a sigh of relief and gently patted Catter's head. "You've scared him now," she shot him a displeased gaze. "Don't be scared; he's just messing around," she reassured Catter gently.
Catter nodded and stole a glance at Liam. "This male is her mate! He looks so powerful; it seems like I also need to level up as soon as possible so that I can impress her," he thought.
Liam noticed Catter's gaze on him and sent him a deadly glare, making him shiver even more and cling tightly to Lily.
