Everyone was completely stunned, their mouths hanging open.
Star was no exception; she was so shocked that she lost focus, and due to her lack of concentration, Lily managed to free herself with force. This made Star take several steps back and vomit blood, half of her long hair falling to the ground.
Nothing angered Star more than the fact that her hair had become a plaything, easily cut off. Looking at the mass of her hair strewn on the ground, her face turned red with rage, and she yearned to beat someone. She glared at Lily, only to find her smiling—a smile filled with mockery.
"Oh, Godmother wants to beat us! Haha, we're so scared we could come out immediately!" Both voices echoed in unison, provoking Star even more.
Liam gritted his teeth and shouted, "You better stop this rubbish you're doing!"
Lily turned to look at Liam. "Aiya, Dad, don't be like this; you're scaring us!" Mocking laughter from both the male and female voices echoed once again.
