Su Yu felt a tremor and diverted a portion of his attention to control his communication soul tool.

"Hm? Yuhao has already taken Star Luo City. The White Tiger Duke has fallen, and Emperor Xu Jiawei of the Starfall Empire is dead. Star Luo City and its surrounding areas have officially been incorporated into the Federation as the newly established Star Luo Province?"

However, that wasn't what truly satisfied Su Yu. What surprised him slightly more was that Huo Yuhao had already begun preparations for a second large-scale recruitment drive within the Federation.

This time, powerful sects across the entire Federation would be targeted, especially those originating from the former Douluo Three Nations and specializing in martial soul cultivation—including both the Body Sect and Shrek Academy.

The goal was clear: to recruit the most elite soul masters and form the second wave of the main force to resist the Abyssal Army.

This group would eventually become the Federation's second generation of Battle Armor Masters.

The Federation moved with remarkable speed.

During the few months Su Yu spent in Dragon Valley, the Federation's systems were established ahead of schedule. To facilitate communication—and thanks to the ideas Su Yu had left behind regarding the creation of a communication network—researchers at Sun-Moon Hall, dedicated to infrastructure and soul tool development, began building the communication network.

Though widespread adoption of the communication soul tool hasn't yet been achieved—not even Soul Sect-level cultivators can freely use them—the Federation has at least managed to establish provincial-level connectivity under centralized governance.

The transmission of information is the backbone of any nation.

Undeniably, in this early stage of the Federation's formation, the development of the communication soul tool was exceptionally rapid. It quickly stabilized this brand-new system, which stood in stark contrast to Douluo Continent's millennia-old imperial feudalism.

This achievement was made possible by the support of communication relay stations.

The headquarters of Sun-Moon Hall in Sun-Moon, the Heaven Dou branch, the upcoming Star Luo branch, and the Shrek branch would all be equipped with large-scale signal relay stations.

These were built upon ninth-level soul tools—massive structures maintained and operated by Titled Douluo personally.

This ensured that communication soul tools could function across nearly all provinces of the Douluo Continent.

The fifth-level communication soul tool had already surpassed the previous models Su Yu relied on, which operated purely through the resonance between two communication tools. The newer versions had significantly reduced complexity and lower production requirements.

As the Federation's infrastructure expanded and communication base stations were established across the provinces, the level of the communication soul tools would drop even further.

By shifting the technological demands onto the relay stations, the requirement for individual users was greatly reduced.

In fact, the communication soul tool functioned merely as a transmitter and receiver. The strength of the signal it could emit and its capacity to distinguish signals determined its grade. But with enough base stations in place, these demands could be minimized—eventually achieving true civilian-level accessibility.

The rapid establishment of the Star Luo Province and the complete unification of the Federation enabled them to promptly launch the second large-scale recruitment wave—made possible entirely by their refined communication infrastructure.

Now, provincial governors had already begun mobilizing local officials to summon soul master powerhouses within their regions.

Of course, although this is considered the second recruitment wave, it can't be completed in a short time—let alone take part in the current first confrontation between the two great planes.

The recruitment process will take at least half a month, and gathering these soul masters in the Extreme North will require at least another half-month.

In other words, for the next month, this recruitment effort won't be of any practical use.

However, what truly made Su Yu breathe a sigh of relief was the army led by Huo Yuhao.

Even with victory nearly certain, the Federation hadn't grown complacent. A considerable military force had still been deployed to suppress the last remnants of the Star Luo Empire. Now, those forces had finally been freed up.

As Star Luo Province began its development, a portion of the army was left behind to stabilize and suppress any unrest in the newly established region. The remnants of the former Star Luo military were taken in and would soon head to the Extreme North alongside another contingent of troops.

With the arrival of this military force, the pressure in the Extreme North would ease significantly.

After all, while the Abyss forces seemed formidable and held a numerical advantage, and although the Federation had suffered heavy losses among its Battle Armor Masters, that was only at the very front lines. Behind the Battle Armor regiments were still the soul engineer legions, and beyond them, an entire layer of the Federation's military had encircled the Extreme North.

Although they lacked the individual strength of the Battle Armor Masters, in a real war, individual strength was never the deciding factor.

Especially in this current era where soul tools flourished.

Su Yu put away the communication soul tool.

"It's time to consider ending this conflict and moving into the next phase."

The Divine Severing Sword in his hand transformed into a beam of light. Instead of vanishing, it expanded dramatically, manifesting behind Su Yu.

He stood in midair, a colossal sword looming behind him, radiating endless sword intent.

That vast aura of sword energy swirled around him, effortlessly breaking apart all of the Spirit Emperor's attacks.

The best defense is offense.

Su Yu knew he couldn't match the Spirit Emperor in terms of spiritual power, so he chose overwhelming offense as his defense against spiritual attacks.

His sword aura was infused with soul power, blood energy, the elemental force of heaven and earth, and even his spiritual power. It was an all-encompassing storm that annihilated every form of attack.

The Spirit Emperor's assaults were swept away by the sword energy storm, yet Su Yu did not strike back. Instead, behind him, a terrifying sigil began to take shape.

It resembled a dreadful scroll—an ominous image swirling with the powers of life and death. These twin forces formed a Taiji-like diagram upon the scroll.

"The Reincarnation Scroll!"

This was a soul tool Su Yu had forged using the energy from the Nine-Turn Reincarnation Grass, which was originally meant to form a soul bone.

The Reincarnation Scroll—this was the first time Su Yu had ever activated it.

Yet the moment it was released, the very rules of the heavens and earth trembled.

Even when compared to the Divine Severing Sword and the Thunder God's Whip, this scroll stood on a different level right from its inception. Su Yu had personally refined it, embedding his own insights into life, death, and reincarnation during its creation.

To put it simply, while the Nine-Turn Reincarnation Grass might be inferior in essence, under Su Yu's cultivation, it was enough to trigger a further evolution of his Blue Silver Grass martial soul.

Unfortunately, the Nine-Turn Reincarnation Grass was ultimately a species Su Yu had created postnatally. Even so, with its ninety-thousand-year age limit on life and death, it had already become a defiance of natural law.

Still, the soul bone it condensed from that alone had already offered an excellent starting point.

However, compared to Su Yu's own enlightenment, it fell short.

By using the energy meant to create a soul bone, Su Yu forged the Reincarnation Scroll. At the same time, he infused it with his ever-deepening understanding of life and death, allowing it to surpass even the original essence of the Nine-Turn Reincarnation Grass.

The scroll unfurled in midair.

At first, it was no larger than something that could be held in both arms. But it rapidly expanded, growing into a massive scroll behind Su Yu.

In the end, it grew so vast that it even overshadowed the colossal Divine Severing Sword.

And the Reincarnation Scroll... was still expanding.

Boom!

As the Reincarnation Scroll unfurled, it connected with the laws of heaven and earth. With its release of power, an immense surge of life and death energy emerged from the void, clashing violently and enveloping Su Yu entirely.

The Spirit Emperor felt fear surge within him once again. His eyes fixed on the scroll behind Su Yu as he launched repeated attacks, but all of them were blocked by the layer of life and death energy that now surrounded Su Yu's body.

The power of life and death merged into the Divine Severing Sword, imbuing its sword aura with terrifying strength. With this new fusion, even the Spirit Emperor could no longer inflict any damage upon Su Yu.

"His strength... might even surpass that of my true body!"

The Spirit Emperor was forced to admit that even if he descended in full force and summoned the power of the second layer of the Abyss, he still wouldn't be able to defeat Su Yu.

It was simply too terrifying.

Su Yu had revealed many powerful methods before, but never had he exposed the Reincarnation Scroll.

With its activation, the nature of Su Yu's control over life and death underwent a fundamental change. What had been mastery over two separate forces had now become partial control over the laws of life and death themselves, albeit briefly, through the Reincarnation Scroll.

The scroll had expanded to such an extent that it completely shrouded the vortex marking the spatial passage's exit—surpassing even its ten-kilometer diameter.

However, it seemed this was the scroll's limit.

Within this ten-kilometer radius, the surrounding world had become Su Yu's own domain. The laws of life and death were his to command, and he could summon their power at will.

Two runes—one representing life, the other death—appeared and merged into the Reincarnation Scroll.

Instantly, the aura of the scroll surged again. Fortunately, its physical size no longer increased.

The Reincarnation Scroll, still hovering behind Su Yu, began to move—swiftly flying toward the spatial vortex.

"No!" the Spirit Emperor cried out in alarm.

Was he trying to seal the spatial passage completely?

On the other side, the Abyssal Lord also sensed the shift in energy. Without hesitation, he stirred another surge of energy into motion.

The onrushing tide of power wasn't meant to attack, but it would certainly make Su Yu's attempt to seal the passage far more difficult.

This tide was the direct embodiment of the Abyssal Lord's own power—transmitted through the passage as a controlled torrent of abyssal energy.

The Reincarnation Scroll quickly adhered itself to the spatial vortex, intertwining with the existing sealing formation. As it merged, the entire passage began to change, and the seal grew even more stable.

Su Yu continued channeling the scroll's power into the array, reinforcing its sealing capabilities.

Boom!

The Abyssal Lord's power surged once more, violently clashing against the Reincarnation Scroll, trying to prevent the complete closure of the passage.

Massive amounts of energy streamed through. The Abyssal Lord concentrated his power, forming a monstrous, shadowy fist and hurled it toward the Reincarnation Scroll.

Rumble!

The entire passageway trembled. Countless abyssal creatures within it, trying to force their way through, exploded instantly—reduced to pure abyssal energy. This energy, no longer returning to the Abyss, was instead transferred to the Douluo Continent by the Abyssal Lord's own power.

Simultaneously, more abyssal creatures in the depths of the Abyss self-detonated, their refined energy flowing through the channel, drawn by the Abyssal Lord into the Douluo Continent.

At that moment, the Abyssal Lord's shadowy fist was finally stopped by the Reincarnation Scroll. Even though it was only a projection formed across dimensions, the force behind it still began to dissipate.

As the last of this essence scattered, it formed a fading image of the Abyssal Lord himself. In this final instant, he activated his authority as the ruler of his realm, using it to restructure the disintegrated abyssal energy and restore the broken life force of the fallen abyssal creatures.

Countless abyssal beings began reforming beneath the spatial vortex.

Seeing this, the Spirit Emperor and the Flame Emperor stopped their battles with Su Yu and Electrolux, and immediately flew toward the vortex.

As the Reincarnation Scroll soared toward the spatial vortex, the attacks from the others ceased. They immediately changed direction, rushing toward the vortex.

Having received Su Yu's warning, Electrolux followed closely behind, unleashing constant attacks. Waves of necromancy and light magic bombarded the Flame Emperor, intensifying his injuries. However, they still couldn't prevent the Flame Emperor from nearing the spatial vortex.

The Reincarnation Scroll integrated into the spatial passage, merging with the runic formation Su Yu had previously drawn.

From this moment on, the formation was no longer a mere energy void but had a solid foundation. Using Su Yu's Reincarnation Scroll as its core, the formation fused with the spatial passage. Bolstered by the laws of life and death from heaven and earth, it became impervious to the Abyss, no longer something they could easily destroy.

Su Yu raised his right hand.

From within the Reincarnation Scroll, two runes separated and transformed into beams of light, merging with Su Yu's body. These life and death runes didn't enter the spatial passage but instead strengthened the scroll, fortifying it against the Abyss's attacks.

The Flame Emperor, heavily wounded by Electrolux's strikes, still managed to reach the vortex, though his strength had been significantly drained. However, the Abyssal Lord's actions caused the area around the vortex to become suffused with Abyssal energy. Some of the Abyss's core power also seeped in, facilitating the recovery of their strength. With the third-layer core of the Abyss, the Flame Emperor quickly regained his vitality.

The Spirit Emperor roared in fury as his body grew to fifteen meters in size. Abyssal energy flowed into his form, causing his body to expand. A dragon's tail swept through the air, accompanied by terrifying mental shockwaves that forced Su Yu and the others back.

The other emperors also broke free from their battles, racing toward the spatial vortex.

Gu Yue Na and the others didn't fight back desperately. Instead, they took advantage of the moment when the emperors were retreating, launching sudden attacks that inflicted serious wounds.

Now that the Abyssal Lords had easier access to the Abyssal core, they endured the attacks, quickly returning to the vortex area to guard the immense amount of Abyssal energy that the Abyssal Lord had sent over.

This energy was the result of the Abyssal Lord expending a great deal of his own power to deliver it to Douluo Continent. It had withstood the assault from Su Yu's runic formation, and in an effort to allow the Abyssal creatures to regenerate, the Abyssal Lord had refrained from pulling his own power back. Instead, he integrated it into Douluo Continent's own world, granting him the ability to utilize part of the Abyss's authority in the vicinity of the spatial vortex.

Su Yu, Gu Yue Na, Electrolux, and the others gathered together, facing off against the eight emperors beneath the spatial vortex.

"The Abyssal Lord is bold indeed. Does he not fear that he won't be able to sever the connection to Douluo Continent in time?" Gu Yue Na remarked.

Clearly, she could sense the disturbance in the world surrounding the vortex, deducing what was happening.

However, while she said this, she understood that Su Yu's allure to the Abyssal Lord was immense.

The moment the aura of the life and death runes leaked out, even the Abyssal Lord was shocked.

This was the embryonic form of a divine rank!

And what's more, it was an essence forged by Su Yu alone, without the help of any divine realm. Even if the Abyssal Lord consumed it, he wouldn't be restricted by any divine existence and would still benefit from it!

It was truly the embodiment of pure comprehension and mastery.

Even without a divine realm, it was enough to entice certain divine-level beings, granting them benefits that would usually only be available to gods in the divine realms.

In the vast universe, the leaders of massive domains without divine realms would likely be fascinated by Su Yu's two runes as well.

Abyss

The Abyssal Lord's cold gaze swept across the projection in the void. This image had been transmitted back through the Abyssal energy of Douluo Continent.

"Hmph, a bunch of fools. My goal is not something you can fathom."

"My power has already infiltrated Douluo Continent. Though it has dispersed, and I can only revive the Abyssal creatures slowly, through their resurrection, the Abyssal authority will gradually take root within Douluo Continent. That domain will eventually be transformed into a part of the Abyss."
