Chapter 21 - Homura and Ainz's pov.

Homura looked around her surroundings the moment she arrived to this world, of course she was vigilante and had her weapons ready, the system said they had to Kill a system user, though she has never killed anyone Homura still counts the amount of times Madoka becoming a witch made her feel like she did kill her. Either way if this mission can allow her to getting closer in breaking this endless loop of despair.

She sighed and then heard a faint rustle, quickly she summoned a gun and aimed it at the direction where the sound came from.

She heard a deep and commanding voice call out to her. "Homura, we meet again"

She lowered her weapon and saw the robed skeleton appear from behind a few trees. on his arm he held a strange looking gold staff tat had multiple colored gems on it, she let out a soft sigh, her face was expressionless as she looked at him. "Ainz..."

The world of Demon Slayer was beautiful, the sun was shining brighter than that of her own world or his world, Homura spoke. "We should move"

Ainz chuckled at the cold expression of the girl, it was...rare to meet someone that looked so young yet has such a gaze, she was Japanese just like him but looking at her attire she seems to be from a past version, Ainz was curious of how that looked. "You say that like you know our current location, Akemi-san, you should know we could also look peculiar to the inhabitants of this universe"

Homura didn't refute his words, just like not all timelines are all completely the same some universes probably have rules they must follow, she acknowledged his reasoning but the only one that would look peculiar was him. "I think my clothing is fine, I am more worried beings of this world may think you are a demon or something"

Ainz let out another low, amused chuckle, the sound echoing with an almost metallic rattle. "You wouldn't be the first to say that, and you certainly won't be the last. Still, the presence of someone like me tends to invite... unnecessary attention." He tapped his staff against the ground, its many gems briefly flaring with muted light. "Shall I cast an illusion? Or would you prefer I simply stay in the shadows"

Homura narrowed her eyes slightly, thinking. "Illusion magic... yes, that would be better. We're not here to fight the people of this world. Not unless they get in the way."

Ainz nodded solemnly. "Understood. I will mask my appearance, and you shall lead. After all, you have the... instinct for it."

With a simple gesture, a wave of dark energy wrapped around Ainz's skeletal form. Moments later, in his place stood a tall, pale man in a black and gold military-style uniform, his crimson eyes glowing faintly beneath a wide-brimmed hat. Still imposing, but not outwardly monstrous. Homura gave him a curt nod of approval.

"We'll head toward the nearest village," she said. "If the target is a system user, they'll have caused some kind of disruption. We ask around, gather intel, move fast. I don't want to stay here longer than we need to."

As they began to walk, the distant sound of cicadas filled the air, mixing with the scent of blooming wisteria.

But somewhere, something was happening.

In a village surrounded by a strange mist, a man with long black hair and red eyes stared into the air, two sharp teeth were poking out from his mouth.

[WARNING: Defeat the high level invaders.]

Dracula raised an eyebrow in fascination, it has been a month since he died and got reincarnated into this world, in his past life he was someone who loved vampire shows like castelvania or Hellsling. when he found out he was in the demon slayer world, he realized maybe he could turn a few hashiras into vampires so they can fight Muzan, but reality was harsh and the sun god did not like his origins, when he fought a hashira all his stats decreased to rank D.

Dracula clicked his tongue in irritation, recalling the humiliating battle. The moment sunlight even grazed his skin, his system screamed in agony, his stats plummeting, and his regeneration stalled. The Hashira he fought—Rengoku, if he remembered correctly—had burned through his abilities with sheer willpower. He barely escaped with his life, retreating into the depths of this mist-cloaked village to recover.

But now... now the system was giving him a warning. "High-level invaders," it said. That meant trouble. That meant players—or worse, something beyond the system's comprehension.

He cracked his neck, his fangs glinting as he smiled.

"Interesting."

With a flick of his wrist, the crimson mist thickened around the village, reinforcing his domain. If these invaders were here to kill him, they'd have to step into his territory first. And in his territory, he ruled.

But soon he would realize why a fly only lives for a day.
