Hornigold's shoes clacked loudly against the tiled sandstone of the Underground Section of The Tomb of Kings. The Walls were lined with murals depicting the history of Arabasta. And the Myths that the People believed.
A Goddess brought forth Knowledge and Sanctuary to the People of Arabasta whom came from a great pilgrimage, And with it the security of Nation and Kingdom. It's said that She was Adorned in a white dress with gold laden into it. The Sight to the People of Arabasta fresh from their journey, became enamored by it. And with the Natural deposits of gold within the earth and the very sand they walked upon, they treasured their precious metal as a sign of Brilliance and Nobility.
The Statues of the Guardian Jackal and The Cat stood tall at either side of a large opening. The Doorway Arched with intricate pillars and carvings into marble and sandstone. Brilliant blue coated the ceilings as a mural depicted a group of people seemingly worshiping the high sun in the sky.
Hornigold took a corridor off to the Side of the Main Room where the Mural was. Walking down the tighter path, the sounds of his footsteps being the only thing to be heard as he finally came to his destination
Off to the Side of the Corridor was a Smashed in Section of Beautifully crafted display of blue of a starry night.
The Small Passageway had been revealed in old manuscripts left deep in the Archives of the Palace Library, Hornigold had scoured for hours before putting Ms. Violet on the Job to decipher them and figure out exactly where it was and what it meant
The Corridor that was Revealed Seemed ancient. Even to the rest of the Mausoleum, paint chipping and peeling, dust coating the surfaces of everything around, from the walls to pillars, and yet strangely one thing seemed as clean as anything could be
Sat in the middle of a large room, atop a large raised surface was a giant cube. Dark Blue in color and Hue, a strange inscription running down in uniform lines covering the front facing side of it.
This Strange Object, which stood at 25 feet tall, was known as a Poneglyph.
"Huff…Huff…" Hornigold stared up at its surface. Looking it over deeply. He'd waited years for this opportunity. From the faintest of whispers in the Libraries of the Palace Book Keeps to the Days on the Ocean of Vague whispers of these Ancient Encryptions said to Describe an Ancient History a Thousand Years old.
Footsteps echoed behind him. Slow and deliberate with every step. The distinct sound of heels against tile closing in, getting closer and closer before finally entering into the room where Hornigold was.
"Took long enough." It was the woman known as Ms. Violet. Rackham looked over his shoulder to the woman in the figure hugging trench coat. She crossed her arms as she spoke in a Monotone voice "It takes a while to get to places in heels you know."
He closed his eyes in annoyance "Yeah. Whatever, just tell me what it was this thing says. I'm not waiting any longer. The Last one said that this one would reveal the Location of an Ancient weapon. And it'd come in real handy right about now."
There was another Poneglyph in the Tomb of the Kings. One that Violet said spoke about where another poneglyph was. The Information was Sprawled between a Story of an Ancient man. Someone ordinary. But Violet never said more. They had only unearthed this exact Poneglyph a day prior.
With her Arms Crossed she walked up the Surface of the Ancient Text and a thin, long fingered hand onto its surface. It was cold, yet had a tinge of warmth to it. The Feeling it gave was almost as though it was shaking, or vibrating at an incredibly low frequency. Utterly imperceptible unless someone was told that it was there.
Moments passed as her eyes scoured the indecipherable text. Her eyes utterly emotionless as she took in its contents.
With her hand slipping from the carving, she spoke "Enkiea."
"Enkiea?" Hornigold questioned. "Yes. That is its name. The Ancient Weapon. The Worst Vessel."
Hornigold inquired more, his voice demanding "Where is it? Is it here? Truly?"
"I-I don't know. It'll take at least a few days for me to fully decipher this text." She said as she looked to Hornigold, pulling out a notebook and beginning to write.
"What?! We Don't have days! I need it now!" He screamed! Fury coming over his brow as a vein bulged in frustration "Well thats what I need." Violet Pleaded.
"Hrn…Damnit!" He said, flicking his coat behind him and walking out into the Main Room with the Large Mural over head "Where are you going?" The Tall woman asked as she followed. "To end this mess!"
But as he walked he suddenly stopped in his tracks! Unable to move! His eyes shot down to the floor to see…Hands? Forearms and wrist sprouted from the floor, clutching his ankles tightly as a metallic Clink! Was heard!
Violet had flicked open the large Stiletto Knife that Hornigold had given to her, and thrusted it forward!
"Huh?!" Her eyes widened as Suddenly, the large looming figure of the man suddenly vanished! Her gaze shifts to the side to see Hornigold reforming from a cloud of golden dust, his body reconstructing in full in under a second! His arm cocked back and forming into a large, thin, sharp point!
"Zloto Wasp!" He thrusted the blade forward and pierced straight through her chest just below her breast, piercing her lung! The Woman spat out a spray of blood as Hornigold pulled the weapon from her, crimson trailing with it, before planting the back of his golden hand into chest and sending her flying across the room, slamming into the wall, cracks spidering around the impact like glass!
