"Good evening," the elf said. He'd brought a young girl with him.
"Good evening," Lenora greeted.
"Are you new?" The elf said. "Usually, I see someone else stand there," he said.
So, a repeat customer. "Yes, I am new."
The man chuckled to himself. "Well in that case, just give me the keys to room 201. This is half of our usual arrangement," the man handed over a pouch with 7 silver coins and four copper ones. "I will pay the rest when I return the key. Come," he said, looking back at the girl.
The girl in question wore a serene look and followed the man up the stairs.
Lenora attempted to say something but she didn't get to. The man seemed too sure of himself to stop here.
The key for the room was here, so she concluded there couldn't have been another guest up there. So, it was fine, or so she tried to convince herself.
About half an hour later Drifus and the lady came back. Both had odd smiles and Lenora could tell stuff happened.
