A few minutes later, Hermione reappeared, holding a glass of water with the grip of someone trying very, very hard not to break it in her hand. She took a slow sip, inhaled deeply, and then leveled both of them with a glare so intense it could have set fire to their robes.
Harry and Nova were still grinning like idiots.
"You two," Hermione said, her voice eerily calm, "are insufferable."
Nova smirked. "I like to think we're entertaining."
She took another deliberate sip of water before setting the glass down on the table with an audible clink. "I swear, if I hear one more word about 'knicker schedules' or 'Parseltongue tutoring'—"
Nova hummed. "Ooooh, 'tutoring' sounds so professional. Makes Harry sound like an educator." He turned to Harry with an exaggeratedly impressed look. "Professor Potter, enlightening young witches with hands-on instruction in advanced serpentine linguistics."
Harry, catching on, nodded solemnly. "It was my duty. A noble pursuit of knowledge."
Hermione's eye twitched violently. "I hate both of you."
Nova commented. "C'mon, Granger. You have to admit, it's a hell of a story. Besides, wouldn't you rather know what Ravenclaw girls wear?"
Hermione's fingers twitched toward her wand. "I will hex you into the astral plane, Nova."
He held up his hands innocently. "Alright, alright! No need for violence. We're all civilized intellectuals here."
Harry smirked. "Says the guy who just spent ten minutes interrogating me about lingerie."
Nova nodded sagely. "Because knowledge is power, my friend. And some knowledge is just extra valuable."
Hermione inhaled deeply, clearly debating whether it was worth it to actually curse them both into next week. Instead, she pinched the bridge of her nose and muttered, "Why am I friends with you two?"
Harry and Nova exchanged a glance before grinning at her in perfect unison.
"Because you love us," Harry said.
"Because we make life interesting," Nova added.
Hermione groaned, rubbing her temples. "I hate how much that's true."
Nova leaned back with a smug grin. "Hey, at least now you know how deep the Slytherin organization goes. Meticulous planning, house-wide coordination—if they put this level of effort into their studies, they'd have taken over the world by now."
Hermione muttered something under her breath that sounded suspiciously like I need stronger friends, then downed the rest of her water.
The teasing momentarily over, Nova turned back to the interface on the screen, his smirk shifting into something more focused. "Alright, Granger, your options." He tapped the display, bringing up detailed information.
Immediately, Hermione straightened, all prior frustration melting away as her attention locked onto the screen, her focus sharpening like a blade.

→ Efficient Memory – Remembers everything she experiences, but prioritizes important data, preventing overwhelming information overload.
---
Drawbacks:
→ Physical Changes –Becomes shorter (around 4'10" to 5'0"), slightly lighter, and more nimble, making her look physically weaker despite her intelligence.
→ Social Detachment–People seem slow and frustrating to talk to, making patience difficult.
→Small Frame, Less Strength –Due to lighter bones and smaller stature, her physical strength is lower, making her reliant on intelligence and agility.

Nova smirked as Hermione stared at the screen, her fingers tapping thoughtfully against her arm. He could practically hear the gears in her head turning.
Harry, ever the instigator, nudged her. "You're already sold on it, aren't you?"
Hermione scoffed. "Hardly. I'm just considering the implications."
Nova grinned. "Uh-huh. And by 'considering,' you mean fantasizing about all the ways you'll outsmart literally everyone for the rest of your life?"
She shot him a glare, but her lips twitched. "It is an appealing thought."
Harry chuckled. "Oh, Merlin. She's going to be insufferable if she takes this. You think she's smug about getting all the answers right now? Just wait until she can solve an entire Arithmancy equation before we even finish reading the question."
Nova waggled his eyebrows. "Let's be real, Harry. If she picks this, she's never letting us live it down. 'Oh, you poor, slow-brained peasants. Must be so hard, taking five whole seconds to understand basic magical theory.'"
Hermione rolled her eyes. "I do not sound like that."
Harry smirked. "Not yet."
She sighed dramatically. "Why do I associate with you two?"
Nova grinned. "Because deep down, you love the chaos."
Harry nodded. "And because we keep things interesting."
Hermione groaned, but there was no real annoyance behind it. "You two are impossible."
Nova leaned in, resting his chin on his palm. "Alright, Granger. Let's talk drawbacks. The height thing—how do we feel about going from bookish know-it-all to bookish fun-sized genius?"
Hermione crossed her arms. "I'm already on the shorter side, Nova."
Harry snorted. "Yeah, but this is like… permanent fun-sized."
Nova nodded sagely. "Pocket edition Hermione. Travel-sized for convenience."
She huffed. "Oh, ha ha. I'll be sure to hex you accordingly."
Harry smirked. "Careful, Nova. She might climb up and slap you."
Nova gasped theatrically. "Ooooh, scary! I might die from a palm strike to the kneecap."
Hermione's fingers twitched toward her wand, but she took a deep breath and pinched the bridge of her nose instead. "You both deserve to be hexed into oblivion."
Nova chuckled. "But you won't—because you love us too much."
She exhaled, muttering, "Debatable."
Harry grinned. "Face it, Hermione. You're already like 80% convinced."
Nova nodded. "At least 85%. You're just pretending to debate it so you don't seem too eager."
She huffed, refusing to dignify that with a response.
Nova leaned back, looking smug. "Just admit it. You want to be a tiny, hyper-intelligent menace."
She inhaled deeply, held up a finger… then sighed. "Fine. Maybe."
Harry and Nova high-fived.
Hermione groaned. "I hate how much I enjoy your company."
Nova smirked. "We grow on you, don't we?"
She shook her head. "Like a fungus."
Nova chuckled. "Alright, Pocket Granger, we've had our fun. But we've got more options to go through."
Hermione shot him a withering look. "Call me that again, and I will find a spell that shrinks you down to match."
Harry snickered. "I'd pay good money to see that."
Nova held up his hands in surrender. "Alright, alright, no need for magical warfare. Let's move on." He tapped the screen, showing a crab like alien with large head.

Psychic Nightmares, Legilimency, and Puberty Horror Stories
Hermione stared at the screen, her arms crossed tightly, her expression shifting between intrigue and deep, growing horror. The potential power was obvious. The problems were… equally obvious.
"…So you're telling me I could literally read minds?"
Nova smirked. "Yup. Hogwarts' newest Legilimens. Except instead of needing eye contact and years of training, you'd just know what everyone around you is thinking."
Harry leaned back, crossing his arms. "Yeah, because that's not terrifying. Even actual Legilimency requires effort. This? This is raw, constant mind-reading." He gave her a pointed look. "Hermione, do you really want to hear what people are thinking all the time?"
Nova hummed, his grin widening. "Oh yeah. No more wondering. No more subtle cues. Just direct access to every thought in the room." He waggled his eyebrows. "Unfiltered. Uncensored."
Hermione blinked. Then the realization hit her like a Bludger to the face.
Her fingers twitched. "…Oh Merlin—teenage boys."
Harry burst out laughing. "Yep. That's the real deal-breaker, isn't it?"
Nova tapped his temple. "Hormones, Granger. So many hormones. Imagine walking into the Great Hall—hundreds of adolescent minds, all pulsing with puberty-fueled chaos. You'd be drowning in a sea of unspeakable thoughts before you even reached the toast."
Hermione's expression shifted from thoughtful to deeply, profoundly disturbed.
Nova grinned. "Oh, and let's not forget—" He gestured at her. "You're you, Hermione."
She frowned. "And what is that supposed to mean?"
Harry smirked. "It means someone—probably multiple someones—has definitely had some, uh… detailed thoughts about you."
Hermione paled. "I choose not to acknowledge that possibility."
Nova snickered. "Oh, sweetheart. That's not a possibility, that's a guarantee."
Harry leaned in, eyes twinkling. "Picture it: You sit down in class. You make one second of eye contact with some poor bloke across the room. Instantly, you know."
Nova waggled his eyebrows. "And not just that they've had thoughts—exactly what those thoughts were. In graphic detail."
Hermione inhaled sharply. "I hate you both."
Nova smirked. "Not as much as you'll hate knowing what people actually think about you."
Harry nodded. "And don't think it's just the boys. You know some of the girls have just as many… imaginative thoughts."
Hermione let out a strangled noise somewhere between a groan and a scream.
Nova grinned. "Congrats, Granger. You'd be walking around Hogwarts with instant access to every fantasy, every secret, every repressed little desire in the school. You'd never be able to look half your classmates in the eye again."
Hermione squeezed her eyes shut. "No. Nope. I refuse. I reject this reality."
Harry snickered. "And let's talk about the other problem." He gestured at the screen. "You do realize this means people would freak out, right? People already panic over Snape poking around in their heads—if they knew you could do it effortlessly, everyone would be scrambling to learn Occlumency just to keep their secrets hidden."
Nova chuckled. "Yeah, just imagine: one day, half of Hogwarts suddenly starts meditating just so they don't accidentally broadcast their unspeakable thoughts to you."
Hermione exhaled sharply through her nose. "I am aware of the risks."
Harry smirked. "Yeah, but you still haven't said no."
Nova leaned forward, voice dripping with amusement. "Oh no, she's thinking about it. Hard."
Hermione huffed. "I am simply weighing the pros and cons."
Nova grinned. "Uh-huh. And by 'weighing the pros and cons,' you mean debating whether unlimited knowledge is worth suffering through the psychic horrors of teenage puberty."
Harry tilted his head. "Honestly, that's the real question, isn't it? Because let's be real—Hermione's been dreaming about reading people's minds since first year. But is it worth knowing what people think about her?"
Nova smirked. "Yeah, imagine how much faster you'd get through class. No more waiting for people to catch up—just snatch the answers straight from the professor's brain."
Hermione's lips twitched. "…That is appealing."
Harry groaned. "Merlin help us. She's seriously considering it."
Nova snickered. "Oh yeah. And she knows she is." He leaned back with a smug grin. "Alright, Pocket Granger, we've had our fun. Let's see what's next."
Hermione shot him a withering look. "Call me that again, and I will find a spell that shrinks you down to match."
Harry snorted. "I'd pay good money to see that."
Nova held up his hands in surrender. "Alright, alright, no need for magical warfare."
