Seeing 'Nameless's' face getting paler and paler, Fu Lin couldn't help but laugh and raised the tablet in his hand.
"Is that enough?"
"Almost."
"Why not just drain me dry?"
"Wouldn't that be too cruel?"
"Then why haven't you stopped?!"
"Oh."
Bianca looked at the now full blood bag, quickly removed the needle, and stored the blood bag in a prepared container. Then she looked at 'Nameless's' pale lips and gasped, "Ah?! Is he going to be okay?!"
--------------------------
"Thanks to you, at least I'm still alive." Fu Lin gently stroked 'Nameless's' neck. After feeling the faint pulse, he breathed a sigh of relief and gave Bianca a speechless glare.
Bianca stuck out her tongue sheepishly and considerately pulled out a cotton swab, symbolically placing it over the needle mark on 'Nameless,' even though there was no blood.
Fu Lin's mouth twitched slightly as he gave Bianca a 'praising' look, then returned the anemic 'Nameless' to the system space.
"Alright, the deal is done. Until we meet again, Bianca." Fu Lin jumped onto the windowsill, looked at the scenery outside, then turned back to wave a paw at Bianca before leaping into the dark night and disappearing from view.
"Am I not attractive? Why did he leave in such a hurry?" Bianca, seeing that Fu Lin had already disappeared, touched her face and, for the first time, began to doubt her own looks. Then she threw herself onto the bed, hugging a cat plush tightly, and rolled around restlessly.
"So, it's that close after all." Fu Lin looked at the Raiden family's villa ahead, then glanced back at Bianca's villa before quickening his pace toward the front of the villa.
"It's this late. Is Mei still awake?" Fu Lin raised his eyes and saw that the light in Mei's room was still on. He murmured to himself in confusion, then skillfully climbed up a large tree facing Mei's room.
Fu Lin gazed at Mei's back, his eyes flickering slightly. Then he curled up, buried his head in his arms, and began to meditate in the biting cold wind.
Inside the room, Mei's eyes were red and swollen. Her hands tightly clutched the clothes Fu Lin had worn. Clearly, it was because of Fu Lin's disappearance. She looked exhausted and helpless.
"It's been so many days. Do you think Fu Lin will come back?" In Mei's consciousness, the Herrscher of Thunder stood with her arms crossed, frowning, with an impatient gleam in her eyes.
"Fu Lin, Fu Lin—every day it's Fu Lin. My ears are feeling sore from hearing about him. I really don't understand what's so good about that guy."
Mei lowered her head without speaking, her eyes lifelessly fixed on the floor.
Seeing Mei like this, the Herrscher of Thunder couldn't bear it. She rubbed her temples helplessly and softly consoled her, "He's probably watching you silently from some corner right now, observing your every move. If you behave well, he'll show up on his own."
Feeling the piercing cold wind, Fu Lin shrank his body, If I had known, I would've stayed at Bianca's place for the night. There's no rush to watch over Mei (or the Herrscher of Thunder), tomorrow...
"But with the way you look now—pale face, swollen eyes—even I'm getting a little put off. Let alone that guy. He's probably already scouted out a new home and is preparing to run off with someone else."
…Well, that was a pointless attempt at comfort.
Mei clenched her hands tightly and bit down hard on her pink lips until she tasted a hint of blood, as if trying to restrain the struggle in her heart.
"Alright, alright, I'm done talking. Think it over yourself." The Herrscher of Thunder placed her hand on her chest, feeling a slight pain in her heart. Her mouth twitched before her figure disappeared from the consciousness space.

The next morning.
Fu Lin half-closed his eyes, stretched comfortably, opened his mouth to reveal his sharp white teeth, and yawned softly. Then he shook himself, flinging off the dew that had gathered on his fur overnight.
"Good thing I have this fur; otherwise, I'd have frozen to death out here."
After a moment of reflection, Fu Lin tucked away the crystal flower he had warmed all night under his body. He then looked up at Mei's tightly shut windows and scratched his head.
Gurgle~
"Looks like I need to get some food first." Hearing his stomach growl, Fu Lin rubbed his belly in annoyance before leaping down and leisurely walking along the familiar path.
As he passed the bulletin board, Fu Lin habitually glanced up at it. But since the board was too high for a cat's height, his expression immediately fell.
But where there's a will, there's a way. Fu Lin's eyes lit up when he spotted a large tree nearby. He swiftly climbed the thick trunk to get a better view of the board.
After scanning through some irrelevant content, his gaze froze on a missing cat poster. He stared at the picture of a cat that looked almost identical to himself, along with the reward amount, and his jaw dropped.

"I'm worth that much? That's over 20,000 yuan…" Pfft! No way I'm only worth 20,000! I've gotta be priceless!
Fu Lin leapt down from the tree, muttering to himself. Then he suddenly turned and looked behind him. The empty street was still and quiet, with only the rustling of leaves in the breeze—no suspicious figures in sight.
A trace of suspicion flashed in Fu Lin's eyes, "Why do I feel like several pairs of eyes are watching me?"
