The guards who were patrolling looked down at the passageway, looked at the little pup that had fallen in the well, and chuckled happily. The one on the right crouched down and took a close look at Ciyi before saying to his partner, "Should we take him with us? I heard that dog meat can really fill you up."
When Ciyi heard the words of the guards, she stiffened before letting out a warning growl. Seeing this, the two guards were even more amused. The one on the left chuckled and cooed, "Aww, little puppy, did you understand what we were saying?"
Of course, neither of the two guards believed that Ciyi could understand what they were saying. They were just teasing it after seeing that the little pup was snarling at them in response, just after the guard on the right said that he was going to eat it.
