Bai Meiyue heard the old woman's words and frowned. She turned to look at Lei Qian through the windscreen of the car; she could see his ashen face as he glared at the screaming old woman. Little flames could be seen burning in his eyes. However, he didn't say anything to the old woman and turned to face the soldiers who were pointing guns at the middle of his forehead.
Even though he was surrounded by snipers, his expression was rather calm. He faced the entire army with a fearless attitude and smiled. "Please forgive my grandmother. She sometimes throws unreasonable tantrums." he paused and added in a subtle whisper, "Her head is not in the right place, but she is a truly good woman."
"Lei Qian!" Grandma Lei was stunned when she heard the words of her grandson. It was one thing that he never showed any respect to her behind closed doors, but it was another thing that he was not even showing the adequate respect he should have shown to her in front of others.
