On the way to Elder Ye's residence, Ye Fan took a detour to the bonsai market by car, picking out a pot of Aspidistra, thus completing his birthday gift.
Guided by Uncle Qin, in the living room they visited last time, Ye Fan and Li Zhaojun brought their birthday gifts and met with Elder Ye.
Elder Ye sat in a rosewood Taishi chair, accepting the respects of Ye Fan and Li Zhaojun.
Although Elder Ye surely knew the reason, Ye Fan still seriously explained to him the circumstances that prevented him from attending the birthday celebration the night before and then presented his birthday gifts.
Standing beside Elder Ye, Uncle Qin stepped forward to receive the gifts and retreated back to Elder Ye's side.
"Xiaochao, open the gifts and let's have a look," Elder Ye said.
