Soon they entered the city, walking on the cold steel streets. Su Ming looked at the densely packed birds lofts around him.
He found that many of the birds lofts were occupied and he asked Lieutenant Zhang Xiang thoughtfully.
"Have the other troops all gone up to the fortress?"
"There are still some that haven't arrived, but they should be here in the next two days; the fortress is set to sail in three days."
"That soon?"
Su Ming responded with slight surprise.
"There's no helping it, the situation is too urgent now. We keep receiving calls for assistance from the Three Neutral Countries, and the Imperial Army is attacking them from time to time."
Lieutenant Zhang Xiang explained with a sigh.
Hearing this, Su Ming and the others fell silent.
...
Several hours later, all the personnel of the Third Regiment were settled in.
Zhang Xiang led Su Ming and two others to a standalone metal house with a fifty-square-meter courtyard.
