Victoria gave his shoulder a small squeeze. "But now we're looking, Damian." She met his gaze, her eyes serious. "We see you."
His breath hitched for just a second.
They saw him.

Damian swallowed, lowering his head slightly.
"…Thanks."
He wasn't sure if it was enough. If he could put into words the strange, overwhelming feeling twisting in his chest.
But Victoria just smirked, pressing a fleeting kiss against the side of his neck. "You owe us for this emotional moment, you know."
Evelyn huffed, though there was warmth in her eyes. "Idiot."
Damian chuckled. "Yeah, yeah."
He wasn't fixed.
The past still weighed on him.
But at least he wasn't carrying it alone anymore.
