Susan's home wasn't in downtown Los Angeles but in Newport Beach City, a small city in Los Angeles County located along the eastern coastline of the Pacific Ocean.
This small city was considered one of the wealthiest coastal cities in the whole of California, and even in the United States.
Newport Beach city boasted year-round sunshine and had Balboa Peninsula as a natural barrier, making the inner sea calm. Whether going out to sea for fishing or playing on yachts was very comfortable.
Of course, Susan's house wasn't a manor villa in Newport Beach City but an entire artificial island in the inner sea.
Note, an entire one!
And this place was only for the leisure of Susan's parents and some of her father's old friends.
Indeed, Susan didn't even know how many fixed properties her family owned globally; she never paid attention to these matters and seldom used her family's resources.
It wasn't until after 9:00 PM that the two arrived at the harbor.
