Seeing the Griffin fly towards the Tower Castle first, Yevan turned back and called out to a few familiar sergeants on the city wall.
"...Norris! Where's Norris?"
"Sir, Sergeant Norris has already fallen in battle," a soldier replied.
"...What about Tim?"
"Lord Tim was pulled off the city wall by a monster, and his body has not been found yet."
"..." The sorrow in his heart and the injuries on his body made Yevan cough repeatedly. He inquired about the whereabouts of several other sergeants, but they had either already sacrificed or were missing, their fates unknown. The only remaining one was severely injured and unable to take care of himself, and whether he could survive was a question mark.
Looking around, aside from the seventy-odd family soldiers who could still stand on the city head, Yevan could hardly see a familiar face among the surviving two or three hundred town conscripted soldiers.
