Chapter 10 - Chapter 10 Discovering Cultivation Technique

Suddenly, he realized he had been reincarnated into a world that might possess extraordinary powers.

Lu Qing's heart was filled with both joy and surprise.

The joy came from an inexplicable yearning, deeply rooted in the soul of a Chinese, for a life of roaming the world, seeking justice with a sword, and living a wandering adventure.

The surprise came from the realization that such a world, capable of concentrating immense power into individuals, would naturally be far more perilous than ordinary worlds.

"As the saying goes, heroes who violate laws with martial arts sow chaos." Once someone masterfully wields great power, they often disregard rules and norms.

The anger of the strong could lead to the helpless suffering, and such spectacles of tragedy would likely be common in this place.

Right now, however, he himself was nothing more than a powerless weakling, unable to even defend against a mere chicken.

If he were to unwittingly cross paths one day with an unscrupulous villain skilled in cultivation, it wouldn't take much for him to be wiped out on a whim.

*The thought of this made a subtle sense of danger creep into Lu Qing's heart.*

*His original plans needed to change.*

Lu Qing sank into deep thought again, quietly deliberating in his mind.

The next morning, Lu Qing prepared a pot of river shrimp congee, then woke up Little Yan, and the siblings enjoyed breakfast together.

"Brother, the congee tastes amazing!"

The little girl slurped the congee enthusiastically, tilting her head up with a grain of rice still stuck to her cheek, gleefully speaking to Lu Qing.

"If it's good, then eat slowly, don't choke on it."

Lu Qing reached out and removed the piece of rice stuck to her mouth.

"Brother, are we going fishing again today?" Little Yan asked.

"Not today. After breakfast, we'll head to Grandpa Chen instead."

For now, food wasn't a pressing concern at home, and Lu Qing didn't plan to go fishing for the next couple of days.

Moreover, they had fished a lot from the spot yesterday, and it would probably take some time for it to replenish.

As for the other two fishing spots, his makeshift fishing rod probably wouldn't hold up.

Until he could craft a better rod, Lu Qing decided against fishing there for now.

No choice—his family was too poor. Every bit of resource was precious and couldn't afford the luxury of waste.

"We're going to see Grandpa Chen?" Little Yan's eyes lit up.

The little one had been asleep yesterday and wasn't aware that the elder doctor and Uncle Zhang had visited.

"Yep. Do you want to go?" Lu Qing asked.

Most children naturally feared doctors, but Lu Qing wasn't sure if Little Yan felt the same.

"I do~" The little girl said earnestly, "Grandpa Chen is so nice. He cured Brother's illness, and Little Yan hasn't thanked him yet."

Lu Qing smiled, "Right, we'll go together and thank Grandpa Chen."

After finishing the congee, Lu Qing locked up their home and headed out with Little Yan.

Old Doctor Chen didn't live in the village but midway up a small mountain behind it.

Lu Qing walked along the path with Little Yan, and from a distance, they could see a standalone courtyard partially concealed in the mountain's midst, giving off an aura of serenity.

As they reached halfway up the mountain, Lu Qing noticed a figure moving around in front of the courtyard. He was about to speak but abruptly shut his mouth.

At the same time, he gently pulled Little Yan closer and motioned for them to stay quiet.

He realized Old Doctor Chen might not want to be disturbed at the moment.

Old Doctor Chen was practicing boxing.

Lu Qing didn't recognize the form of boxing, but to him it bore resemblance to the Tai Chi Boxing practiced by elderly men in his previous life's parks.

The moves were slow, deliberate, and somewhat sluggish.

But after observing for a while, Lu Qing noticed something different.

The seemingly soft movements of Old Doctor Chen were, in fact, infused with energy, each move flowing like water and wind—captivating to watch.

*Lu Qing found himself unconsciously mesmerized by the display.*

Suddenly, a line of text appeared in his field of vision:

[Cultivation Technique detected, would you like to simulate?]

*Hmm?*

Lu Qing's pupils constricted sharply.

*His superpower had such abilities?!*

Looking at Old Doctor Chen, who was still immersed in boxing, Lu Qing forced himself to calm his rapidly beating heart and discreetly selected "Yes" in his mind.

[Simulation initiated—progress at 1%, 2%, 3%...]

Watching the progress bar advancing quietly in his vision, Lu Qing's heart raced uncontrollably again.

*He hadn't anticipated that his superpower had the ability to simulate someone else's cultivation technique.*

*Yesterday, he had been fretting over how to even access the cultivation methods of this world.*

*Now it was like receiving a pillow just when he needed sleep.*

Lu Qing fixated on Old Doctor Chen's movements while keeping a close eye on the progress bar.

[48%, 49%, 50%]

When the simulation progress reached fifty percent, it suddenly stopped, and the message disappeared.

Looking ahead, he realized Old Doctor Chen had already finished his boxing routine.

*What a pity,* Lu Qing thought.

If he had arrived earlier, he might have completed a full simulation of this particular technique.

Being stuck at fifty percent left him feeling somewhat dissatisfied.

However, Lu Qing didn't dwell on it for long and adjusted his mindset.

This encounter alone—discovering this new function of his superpower—was already a significant gain.

As for Old Doctor Chen's cultivation technique, there was plenty of time in the future, so there wasn't any need to rush.

After finishing his boxing routine, Old Doctor Chen wrapped up and finally looked over at the siblings.

In truth, he had already known they were nearby.

He simply adhered to his habit of practicing his exercises in the morning, so he hadn't paused.

"You're here. Have you eaten breakfast?" Old Doctor Chen asked warmly.

"Yes, we've eaten," Lu Qing replied respectfully.

Little Yan walked forward and grabbed the elder doctor's hand, "Thank you, Grandpa Chen, for curing Brother's illness."

"Haha, little one, you should thank yourself. If it weren't for you crying so persistently that day, I wouldn't have gone into the house to check things out."

Old Doctor Chen patted Little Yan on the head with some sentiment.

That day, he happened to be wandering in the village, heard Little Yan's cries, and, out of compassion, entered the house. Only then did he discover how severely ill Lu Qing had been.

"Why should I thank Little Yan? It was Grandpa Chen who cured Brother's illness!" The little girl exclaimed in confusion.

"Ah, it wasn't entirely my doing. Your brother's recovery was also due to his fortunate fate," the elder doctor sighed.

The previous night he had reviewed his medical texts at home but still failed to find any records of Lu Qing's particular ailment.

Ultimately, he could only attribute the recovery to Lu Qing's good fortune and auspicious destiny.

Little Yan didn't quite understand Old Doctor Chen's words and simply nodded vaguely.

Lu Qing, meanwhile, had just learned the underlying reason behind Old Doctor Chen's intervention in his illness.

He gave Little Yan a doting look, then bowed deeply to the elder doctor, "Thank you, Grandpa Chen, for saving my life."

"You... Ah, forget it, forget it."

Old Doctor Chen finally waved his hand in dismissal, choosing not to explain further.

After all, he knew that, no matter how he explained, the siblings would still believe he was the one responsible for curing the illness.

If so, why bother elaborating?

"Grandpa Chen, what were you doing just now, were you boxing?" Little Yan asked innocently.

Lu Qing also turned expectantly toward the elder doctor.
