Charlotte gasped, her body frozen in shock as she watched Damon lose control. The Damon she knew was always in control, but right now, he was driven in pure, primal rage.
Julian choked, clawing at Damon's grip, his face twisting in panic.
"U-Uncle—" Julian gasped, struggling to breathe. "L-let's talk—"
"Talk?" Damon's voice was dangerously low. His fingers tightened around Julian's throat, cutting off the rest of his words.
"Did you let Charlotte talk when she begged you to let her go?" Damon snarled, his gray eyes flashing. "Did you listen when she cried?"
Julian gasped, his hands clawing weakly at Damon's wrist.
Damon didn't care.
He tightened his grip even more, lifting Julian slightly off the ground. "You shot my mate." Damon's voice was like cold water that wanted to freeze Julian to death. "You hurt her."
"Julian," Damon growled, his gray eyes dark with fury. "I gave you a chance."
His grip tightened around Julian's throat, his knuckles turning white.
