"I'll go," Damon said without hesitation.
Among the werewolves in the Crimson Moon Pack, Damon was the strongest and the fastest. If anyone could break into Julian's hideout and get Priscilla out safely, it was him.
Louis nodded. "Then I'll go with you. We need at least one more person, someone who can move fast and won't hesitate if things go south."
"No," Damon said firmly. "Theodore will go with me."
Louis frowned. "Why?"
Damon took a deep breath, answering, "Because you're staying here. If something happens to me, you'll still be here to protect our family."
But that wasn't the only reason.
Damon knew Louis too well. He was strong, capable, but also hotheaded. If they found something about Julian that enraged him, he wouldn't hesitate to act first and think later. And that was exactly the kind of mistake they couldn't afford.
Louis clenched his jaw, his fists tightening at his sides. He hated being left behind, especially when it involved protecting their own.
