"Presumptuous, how can you speak to the Earl like that?" Li Ya stepped forward and yelled at Song Yun, as if his statement was a great blasphemy.
Song Yun waved his hand dismissively and said, "I didn't say anything wrong, Earl, your illness hasn't gotten any better, and you've been holding on for so many years. Why haven't you died yet?"
"Song Yun, that really hurts my feelings," the Earl said as he sat on the sofa, picked up an apple without any guest-like self-awareness, and handed it to Li Ya. Li Ya took out a butterfly knife from her pocket and swiftly peeled the apple clean.
With a bite of the apple, the Earl chuckled and said, "Li Ya, you can't be rude to Song Yun. You won't understand the relationship between us, so it's best not to interrupt."
