The car had been driving through the woods for a while, and it was nearing 4 a.m.
Contrary to what Wei Tianyang had imagined, there was a well-maintained driveway in these woods; only the stretch of dirt road when entering the forest was a bit rough.
This shaded path wound its way deeper and deeper, and at the end of the road stood a three-story manor.
They parked the car outside the iron gate. The headlights illuminated the empty guard room at the gate.
Above the iron gate hung a sign with the words "Bi Quan Sanatorium" in English.
"Is she here?" Wei Tianyang asked.
Mondrian nodded and said, "The first batch of human experiment survivors were held in places like this by the government, back before the city was sealed off. Since then, disappearances started happening more frequently in the city. But because the victims were mostly loners and vagrants, nobody cared."
As Mondrian spoke, he pushed open the iron gate.
