"No matter what you're saying, I don't believe all that mystic mumbo-jumbo," Scott said.
The oily coffee swirled with steaming heat in the porcelain cup, filling the whole room with a rich aroma, and for some reason, coffee always seemed to ease the atmosphere.
"The coffee's ready. Let's drink and talk," Lilith said.
She handed the two their coffee and then took a seat beside the table.
All three sipped their coffee, and Lilith steered the conversation back on track, "I've done my best to convey my intentions using your language, without any deceit or lies. But I've found that you are a very interesting species."
Scott didn't reply but held his coffee cup, waiting for Lilith to continue.
