Chapter 129 - 129. Unexpected Changes

Among the Five Great Hidden Villages, the degree of cooperation between the Uchiha clan and Kirigakure is the deepest. This relationship extends beyond mere commercial collaboration, forming a military alliance as well. It is also the only ninja village where the Uchiha clan does not maintain an office.

After all, Yagami travelling to Kirigakure feels almost like returning home. With the convenience of the Flying Thunder God Technique, Kirigakure's leadership has no objections to his presence.

Yagami primarily oversees operations in Konoha, making it unnecessary to train personnel there. Sunagakure's involvement arose spontaneously, without prior coordination, and they had no plans for office personnel training.

Therefore, the main participants in this training are shinobi from Iwagakure and Kumogakure. As for Iwagakure, Ōnoki sent a young ninja along with Deidara, who had already been following Yagami like a loyal subordinate.

Kumogakure followed a similar approach. While Mabui, Raikage's future secretary, was too valuable for the Fourth Raikage to part with, he instead sent Samui and Omoi—one male and one female, one fair-skinned and one dark-skinned.

"Yagami, about that information..."

After leaving the venue, Fugaku approached Yagami with a worried expression.

"There's no problem. If they doubt it, they're welcome to verify it themselves."

Yagami understood Fugaku's concerns.

Although establishing the Uchiha clan's intelligence network was a priority, the number of available ninjas was limited. With resources spread across various obligations, the intelligence network couldn't be constructed overnight.

Fugaku was still uneasy about Yagami suddenly divulging so much information. If much of it turned out to be false, the repercussions from the Five Great Hidden Villages would be severe.

"Alright! You've always been cautious in your actions. If you need assistance, just let me know. I'll ensure the rear is secure for you!"

Seeing that Yagami didn't want to elaborate, Fugaku refrained from pressing further. Everyone has their secrets, after all.

For someone as exceptional as Yagami, secrets are even more abundant. Fugaku reasoned that since Yagami wouldn't act against the Uchiha clan, there was no need to pry unnecessarily.

"I appreciate it... Is there any news about Tsunade?"

Yagami nodded, acknowledging Fugaku's support. The only reason he could execute such extensive plans across the Five Great Nations was due to Fugaku's steadfast backing within the clan. Without it, such efforts would have been impossible.

"Tsunade has left Evernight City. No one knows where she's gone, but she took Shizune with her. There shouldn't be any issues."

Thinking about Tsunade's state in Evernight City, Fugaku sighed inwardly. He could only wonder what kind of hardship had left her in such a fragile condition.

"What a tragedy! How did someone like Danzo ever become the Hokage's assistant?"

Yagami also shook his head. He wasn't overly concerned about Tsunade's safety. Even with her hemophobia, she remained one of Konoha's Sannin. As long as Konoha stood, few would dare provoke her.

Moreover, the Flying Thunder God seal he left on her ensured he could locate her at any time. While others might consider Tsunade missing, to Yagami, she was never truly out of reach.

Anyway, she wouldn't throw away the necklace left by the First Hokage, at least not before the plot progresses.

Thinking about the plot, Yagami felt an inexplicable sense of unease. For Naruto, that necklace had a profound significance.

He had clearly been fine staying in Uchiha's City That Never Sleeps but suddenly left. Could this be the "power of the plot" at work, paving the way for Naruto?

And Jiraiya—despite being informed clearly about matters—still hadn't gone to Amegakure to meet Nagato and the others. Jiraiya had planned to visit Amegakure several times, yet for some reason, he never went.

It couldn't be a coincidence!

In his previous life, Yagami had read novels where an invisible force, often referred to as the "Way of Heaven," influenced the protagonist's growth. Could a similar power be at work in the ninja world?

Recalling the Sage of Six Paths, a figure dead for who knows how long, appearing during the Fourth Great Ninja War, Yagami felt unsettled.

Now, he had changed the Uchiha clan's fate and avoided their genocide. However, by leaving Konoha, Sasuke's circumstances were only slightly better. Apart from knowing his parents were alive, his position within Konoha hadn't improved much compared to the original timeline.

Naruto's situation was slightly better since he had become Jiraiya's disciple, but his strength hadn't grown significantly. Jiraiya still hadn't let him sign the Mount Myōboku contract.

In other words, when the plot starts in a few years, Konoha would be largely unchanged, aside from the absence of Danzo. However, Sasuke's motivations would shift since Itachi hadn't carried out the clan's massacre.

"Sigh... I hope nothing drastic happens, but I don't want everything I've done to be invalidated!"

Yagami took a deep breath. After all, the ninja world revolved around strength. To resist forces like the Sage of Six Paths and the so-called "Way of Heaven," he needed to continue improving his own power.

Checking his feedback points, Yagami noted the steady growth from his interactions with various villages and the support of the Uchiha clan. The results were promising.

He had accumulated enough points to redeem the Sage Body, but it didn't seem particularly useful at the moment.

Yagami didn't lack Chakra. Six out of every ten items from random draws turned out to be Chakra-enhancing, and over time, even without the Sage Body, his Chakra reserves were more than sufficient.

Enhanced vitality was also unnecessary; he was still young and not concerned about longevity. Healing abilities were similarly of little value to someone who rarely sustained injuries.

The primary benefit of the Sage Body would be the potential evolution of his eyes into the Rinnegan. However, the cases of Uchiha Madara and Senju Hashirama were unique, and Yagami wasn't certain if the same would apply to him.

Thus, he turned his attention to another possibility: the Ōtsutsuki bloodline.

As the god-like progenitors of the ninja world, the Ōtsutsuki were the source of all bloodline limits and unique abilities in existence.

Although the cost of acquiring the Ōtsutsuki bloodline was twice that of the Sage Body or the Rinnegan, Yagami believed it was a far more valuable investment.

The system had previously displayed the Ōtsutsuki bloodline once, so Yagami had been saving his points, waiting for it to appear again.

Meanwhile, after the Uchiha delegation left, the Five Kage Summit resumed in full swing, but the atmosphere was markedly different. Mifune found himself with a growing headache.

The tension started with Ōnoki and the Fourth Raikage, who immediately began bickering. Their exchange was rife with hostility.

Kazekage openly accused Mizukage of potentially colluding with the Akatsuki organization, even questioning whether the Mizukage was still under external control.

When Sarutobi Hiruzen attempted to mediate, he was swiftly attacked by the other four Kage, who placed the blame for the Akatsuki's actions squarely on Konoha.

Sarutobi Hiruzen, infuriated to the point of nearly coughing up blood, countered by shifting the blame for Uchiha Obito onto Kirigakure.

Mifune silently cursed: Are the Five Kage always this foolish? Mentally unstable? When Uchiha was here, none of you dared act like this. Now that they've left, you're pointing fingers and blaming each other. Truly, you're nothing but hypocritical, double-standard fools...
