Chapter 341 - Chapter 341: Fishing for a Ghost Fetus

After finishing these tasks, Lu Fei handed the soul-sealing jar to A Long to hold.

"I will find a way to lure the ghost fetus out of the monkey's body. Once it enters the jar, you immediately seal it, don't give it a chance to escape."

  "I got it."

A Long held the soul-sealing jar with a solemn expression.

Lu Fei glanced at the sky outside and, seeing that the sun was about to set, closed all the windows and doors, attaching ghost-repelling characters on each one.

The small black dog crouched by the window.

  The sky gradually darkened.

  "It's starting."

Lu Fei nodded to A Long and reached out to remove the three ghost-repelling characters from the yellow-haired monkey's belly.

The bulging belly immediately swelled, like an inflating balloon, and the web-like black patterns on its skin spread, growing even larger.

  "Hungry..."

Huang Mao drowsily opened his eyes, a hoarse moan escaping from his throat.

"My stomach hurts so much, I want to eat meat...ahhhh..."

His swollen belly bulged with small lumps, the ghost fetus inside protesting with its actions.

Huang Mao screamed in agony, writhing his emaciated body, desperate to break free from the restraints.

"Brother Long, let me go! I really feel awful, I just want one bite of food, just one..." Huang Mao, pale-faced, looked pitifully at Ah Long.

A trace of reluctance appeared in Ah Long's eyes, but he simply held the Soul Sealing Vessel, unmoving.

  "Ahhh, help...my stomach...Brother Long, I don't want to die..."

Huang Mao's cries echoed throughout the room, as the thing inside his belly rolled frantically, causing him immense pain.

"If not fed for a certain amount of time, the ghost fetus will become extremely restless."

Seeing that the time was right, Lu Fei took out a dagger and approached, making several small cuts on the two live chickens hanging above the bed.

A faint trickle of blood seeped out.

  Cluck! Cluck! Cluck!

The hen was struggling in terror.

A hint of the smell of blood spread above the bed.

Huangmao immediately lifted his head, sniffing hard.

  "So fragrant! So fragrant!"

He couldn't stop swallowing, his body writhing violently, making the bed creak. Red veins burst in his eyes as he desperately stretched his tongue towards the two hens, but couldn't reach them.

The ghostly fetus in his belly writhed even more intensely.

"Give me something to eat! Give me something to eat, I'll die..."

Tortured by the ghostly fetus, Huangmao's life was a living hell. His face was drenched, and it was impossible to tell whether it was tears or cold sweat. His pitiful cries made Lu Fei and A Long's scalp prickle with dread.

Huangmao is not a decent person and quite a scoundrel, but he doesn't deserve this.

Both Lu Fei and A Long showed sympathetic expressions, but they both restrained themselves from moving.

Showing mercy at this moment would only harm Huangmao.

After a bout of punching and kicking inside Huangmao's stomach, the ghost fetus tentatively began to wriggle upwards.

Lu Fei quickly made several small cuts on the hen to let more of the bloody smell escape.

Huangmao took several rapid breaths, and his body suddenly stiffened.

The ghost fetus slowly slid up along his body. A large lump formed in his throat, his eyes bulged as if they were about to pop out, and his mouth opened wide, unable to make any sound.

  "Hold on!"

Lu Fei took out the Eight Trigram Mirror, bit his middle finger until it bled, and quickly wrote an exorcism character on it, then fixed his gaze on Huangmao.

Huangmao's mouth kept opening wider and wider.

Something is about to come out.

Lu Fei and A Long widened their eyes, their hearts caught in their throats.

A bloody piece of flesh poked out from Huang Mao's mouth.

  "A Long, get ready!"

Lu Fei called out in a low voice, gripping the Eight Trigram Mirror tightly. As soon as that thing fully emerged, he would use the Eight Trigram Mirror to force it into the Soul-Sealing Jar.

The hen was struggling above the bed.

The smell of blood grew stronger.

The strip of flesh kept extending towards the hen, turning Huang Mao's face blue and purple with pain, his body convulsing.

  "Just a little more!"

Lu Fei tried to stay calm, gently and slowly tugging on the thin rope, slightly lifting it just before the strip of flesh was about to touch the hen.

In this way, the ghost fetus was slowly and gradually extracted from Huang Mao's body.

The chicken had already been hung up to the ceiling.

The strip of flesh had been stretched very long.

Just as the last bit was about to come out of Huang Mao's mouth.

  Bang!

Suddenly, something hit the window, making a dull sound.

The strip of flesh, startled, instantly retracted and withdrew back into Huang Mao's belly.

Huang Mao instinctively gasped for breath, his body weak and trembling, and he was already somewhat disoriented.

"Why did something have to happen outside at this critical moment?"

  Lu Fei frowned.

The spirit fetus is frightened, and it will be even harder to lure it out now.

"A-Long, keep an eye on the monkey. I'll go check by the window."

Lu Fei instructed, then walked to the window to look outside.

  It was already pitch black.

In the old residential area, a few dim streetlights were casting a yellowish glow. The ground floor was desolate, without a single person in sight.

  "Something's not right!"

But Lu Fei felt an unusual chill.

"It's yin energy! Something unclean is coming!"

Lu Fei narrowed his eyes. Fortunately, he had sealed the doors and windows with ghost-repelling characters beforehand, so nothing inside could get out, and nothing from outside could get in.

"Shopkeeper Lu, what's going on?" A-Long asked anxiously.

"Perhaps the tattoo artist found something out and sent some filthy things to cause trouble!" Lu Fei said with a serious expression, pulling the curtains back into place.

"It seems we can only use a more dangerous method!"

"What method?" A Long's heart sank.

"I will use my abilities to forcibly push the ghost fetus out of the monkey. If successful, I will still seal the ghost fetus in the urn. But if it fails, it will be two lives lost for one body,"

Lu Fei looked at A Long seriously.

"You decide whether we should take this risk or not."

"Of course, we have to try!" A Long said without hesitation, "Letting the ghost fetus be born, he wouldn't have a good life anyway. If it fails, at least it would let him die with dignity."

"But if it really fails, how will you explain it to his sister?" Lu Fei asked an additional question.

A Long was silent for a moment, with a resolute expression: "Things have come to this point, there's no time to consider so much."

  "Alright! I'll start right away!"

Lu Fei stopped talking and quickly walked to the side of the bed. He took a deep breath, channeled his magical power to his palm, and placed it on Huang Mao's taut, bulging belly.

The belly immediately started to tremble, and Lu Fei felt an unfriendly force striking his palm from within.

He remained calm and gradually increased his magical power.

The ghost fetus, not yet born, was enveloped by the thick magical power and slowly shrank into a ball.

Lu Fei tried to push it upwards.

The ghost fetus clung tightly inside Huang Mao's belly. Lu Fei increased his magical power again, causing Huang Mao to cry out in pain. His body trembled, and blood seemed to trickle from the corners of his mouth.

The ghost fetus was tormenting him!

This evil thing was extremely fierce, preferring mutual destruction rather than leaving Huang Mao's body.

Lu Fei hurriedly reduced the power in his palm, and Huang Mao finally felt better.

"Pushing it like this won't work. I need to first separate the ghost fetus from Huang Mao's body."

Lu Fei reactivated his spiritual power, injecting a thread of it into Huang Mao's dantian. This process required his extreme focus and patience.

A Long stood by, his hands gripping the soul-sealing jar so tightly that they were covered in a layer of sweat.

  Bang bang bang!

At this moment, the window began to vibrate violently.
