Chapter 375 - Chapter 375: A Soul-Stealer for Men

The black off-road vehicle sped along the way.

It swiftly exited the highway, passed through Yun City, and arrived at Taiping Town, entering an industrial area on the outskirts of the town.

  "We're here!"

The car came to a screeching halt by the roadside.

Everyone got out of the car one after another.

Lu Fei let the small black dog down to stretch its legs while he looked around.

There were several textile factories in this area; the one they were going to was called Jinhong Garment Factory.

  "It's over there."

Zhang Molin quickly located the direction and pointed to a row of small workshops at the edge.

After a brief rest, everyone headed towards that small factory.

  Ding ling ling——

Just as I arrived at the main gate, the bell for the end of the workday rang.

Subsequently, workers began to emerge from the factory building one after another, hurrying along.

"Hurry up, hurry up! Another one was gone yesterday."

"It's freaking scary! If it weren't for the unpaid wages, I would have left this lousy factory long ago."

"What are you afraid of? That female ghost only lures men's souls, and you're not a man."

"Who knows! She didn't have a good relationship with us when she was alive. What if she doesn't like us now?"

"Shut up a little, or she might hear you and lure your men's souls away too..."

  "Pah pah pah!"

Perhaps because it was a garment factory, most of the workers here were women, grumbling and leaving in haste.

In the blink of an eye, the factory went from bustling to deserted.

  "Another one gone?"

Lu Fei faintly heard a few workers talking, his eyebrows raised, and he stopped to observe the factory from the outside.

From a feng shui perspective, it was ordinary, neither good nor bad.

But in terms of its location, it was one of the less convenient in the entire industrial area, being further inside. Vehicles had to make several turns to get in, unlike those factories near the main road, which were more convenient.

"Xiaodao Zhang, where is the client?" Tie Shenglan put her hands on her hips and looked around.

"It's the security guard of this factory. His two sons are missing, and he said he would wait for us at the gate. I'll go over and ask." Zhang Molin, holding the documents, quickly walked towards the security guard post.

"Is anyone there? Is anyone there?"

Surprisingly, there was no one in the security guard post. On the table, a few flashlights and pens were scattered about.

  "Strange, where did they go?"

Zhang Molin found the phone number in the documents and was about to call it.

An old man in a security uniform, with white hair, hurried out of the factory.

  "Who are you?"

"Are you Uncle Zhu? We came from Jiangcheng to help you find someone..." Zhang Molin smiled.

"From Jiangcheng?" The security guard widened his eyes and looked them over. "You are the fortune-tellers from Jiangcheng? How come you're all young people?"

"Uncle Zhu, although we are young, this is not our first time helping people. Three cobblers can match Zhuge Liang, let alone we have four people."

  Zhang Molin explained patiently.

"We are all members of the Jiangcheng Xuanmen Association, and we have the endorsement of Shanyuantang. We will help you find the person for free, without charging you a single cent."

Seeing that he was wearing a Daoist robe, and that his attitude was sincere, and noticing the other young people had extraordinary bearing, the security guard opened the door and let them in.

"Please come in, I really appreciate your help!"

"You're welcome, Uncle Zhu. Exorcising evil and saving people is our duty as cultivators," said MoLin Zhang, especially glancing at Jing Sword as he spoke.

"You are truly good people!" The old security guard was deeply moved, "My sons Dazhu and Erzhu have been missing for six or seven days now, I don't even know if they are still alive..."

"Uncle Zhu, don't worry. First, tell us how they disappeared," MoLin Zhang quickly comforted, "Once we understand what happened, it will be easier to find them."

  "Okay, okay."

Old Security Guard Zhu led the four of them to his dormitory.

"Please sit down, I'll get you some water..."

The dormitory was very simple, with two bunk beds on either side and a table in the middle, holding various items like water cups and toothbrushes.

From the number of toothbrushes, it was clear that more than one person lived there.

"No need to trouble yourself, Uncle Zhu, please tell us first," MoLin Zhang pulled Old Man Zhu to sit down.

"They went missing six days ago," Old Man Zhu looked haggard, "I brought them out from the village to work in this factory, and they were all staying in the dormitory."

"That day, they went to work the night shift and didn't return until dawn."

"Usually, patrolling at night involves walking around the factory with a flashlight, checking if any doors or windows are unlocked or if any electricity is left on. After the inspection, they come back and go to sleep."

"But they were gone the whole night, and no one saw them the next day. I searched everywhere, asked everyone, and after two days of looking, I finally reported it to the police."

"But the police couldn't find them either. I really had no idea what to do..."

Old Man Zhu tugged fiercely at his gray hair, his face filled with worry and anxiety.

Lu Fei asked, "Uncle, there should be surveillance cameras in the factory, right? How could they not be found?"

"The police checked the surveillance, but didn't see them leaving, saying they should still be in the factory. But the factory doesn't have cameras everywhere. The police searched for three days, almost turning the place upside down, but still couldn't find them."

Old Man Zhu was at his wits' end, his brows furrowed into a deep frown.

"These two rascals, never listened since they were young! If I had known, I would have let them stay in the village and farm!"

  Everyone exchanged glances.

  This is a bit eerie.

The people are in the factory, how could they not be found?

Two grown men, they can't just vanish into thin air!

Lu Fei asked again, "Uncle Zhu, can you see where they last appeared in the surveillance footage?"

"In... outside the female dormitory..." A hint of fear appeared on Old Man Zhu's aged face, "Not long ago, a girl hanged herself in the female dormitory. The workers in the factory all say that she turned into a hanging ghost to lure souls..."

"Even if their spirits were lured away, their bodies should still be here." Lu Fei shook his head, "Sir, when we came, we heard the workers say that another person was missing. Has someone else disappeared?"

Old Man Zhu opened his mouth, but hesitated to speak.

"Sir, with people going missing one after another, there might be a connection. The more we understand, the greater the chances of helping you find your two sons," Lu Fei advised.

"The boss doesn't want us to talk too much, for fear it will have a bad impact." Old Man Zhu carefully looked out the door and then lowered his voice.

"Last night, a worker, who knows what got into him, sneaked back into the factory... and he also disappeared near the female dormitory."

"Also a male employee?" Lu Fei thought of the words of the female worker.

"Yes, that hanged ghost only preys on men's souls! Her boyfriend broke up with her, and she couldn't accept it, so she hanged herself in the dormitory with a rope!"

Old Man Zhu was filled with grief and anger.

"It wasn't my son who broke up with her, why did she have to harm my son!"
