"John Constantine?"
Jackie Chan was taken aback.
He felt like he had heard this name somewhere before.
Meanwhile, Jade eyes lit up instantly.
"The Hellblazer!"
Jade, a loyal fan of the Justice League and Batman, was also well-versed in most of the movies about the Justice League that Anton had filmed.
"You are the Hellblazer!"
Jade screamed in excitement, "So you really exist! That means, you are also a member of the Justice League, right?"
"No, I can't say I'm a formal member of the Justice League."
Constantine shook his head, "At most, I'm considered a magical consultant to the Justice League."
Strictly speaking, he is a member of the Justice League Dark, not the mainstream Justice League.
Anton hadn't planned on letting Constantine be publicly known just yet.
"But you know Batman!"
Jade insisted, "That enough!"
"Correct."
Constantine, hearing this, looked around and saw four people who were both familiar and strange to him, corresponding to characters in his memories, and smiled, "Knowing Batman is enough!"
After arriving in Chinatown in Los Angeles, Anton first accessed information about Chinatown gangs from the High Table intelligence network.
He then noticed in the intelligence files that there was an antique shop that all the major gangs dared not provoke.
Old Dad Antique Shop.
The name sounded oddly familiar to him.
It wasn't until he approached the antique shop that he realized this place matched a scene from his memory exactly.
Moreover, near the entrance, he encountered a man with a big nose who looked 90% similar to a character from his memories.
Wasn't this just a version of Jackie Chan?
In a flash of memory, Anton paused near the entrance.
Then, seeing Jackie Chan about to head towards the shop entrance, he made a quick decision, and from a corner alley, a figure in a trench coat with blonde hair appeared.
Constantine approached Jackie Chan for a brief chat, and together they headed to the antique shop.
Just as they reached the entrance, they overheard the conversation between Old Dad and Jade.
So, he took the initiative to speak up, answering Jade question.
As for the Ghost Rider, or Johnny Blaze, being in Old Dad Antique Shop, Anton wasn't surprised.
Upon arriving at the shop entrance and seeing the door frames barely hanging together, with the glass completely shattered into pieces, he guessed that Johnny was inside.
The faint tire marks of a motorcycle clearly revealed the last known direction of the Ghost Rider.
This also answered Anton questions.
Johnny had entered Los Angeles earlier in the night and, in about four hours, had eliminated thirty-eight criminal gang members. By around 5 a.m., the task was seemingly completed.
It was still dark, and the power of the Spirit of Vengeance, as well as the consciousness of the Ghost Rider, was at its peak. So, why didn't the Ghost Rider continue to punish sinners after 5 a.m., and why did he disappear?
Normally, the Spirit of Vengeance would relinquish control of the body back to Johnny after sunrise.
Around 5 a.m., the Ghost Rider must have encountered something unexpected.
Now, it appeared that Old Dad used magic to stop the Ghost Rider.
The events of the previous day likely involved the Ghost Rider arriving at Old Dad Antique Shop, intending to punish Tru, a former enforcer driven by Walong.
After reforming, Tru had become Old Dad apprentice.
Naturally, Old Dad wouldn't just watch his apprentice be killed by the Ghost Rider.
A magical confrontation ensued, and Old Dad managed to halt the Ghost Rider actions.
Then, after sunrise, the Spirit of Vengeance gave up control of the body, turning the Ghost Rider back into Johnny, who, overwhelmed by his first transformation, collapsed unconscious and hadn't woken up since.
With these thoughts flashing through his mind, Anton saw Jackie Chan appear and decisively summoned Constantine incarnation.
This led to the conversation between Constantine and Jade.
Although Constantine had just denied being a member of the Justice League, his identity essentially represented Batman.
In this era, probably only villains or those with ulterior motives lack trust in Batman.
Of course, the four people in the antique shop—Old Dad, Tru, Jade, and Jackie Chan—were not among those.
Jackie Chan seemed to recall something and interrupted the conversation between Constantine and Jade, suddenly speaking up:
"I went out and heard that the Los Angeles gangs are offering a two million dollar reward for the capture of last night super killer... uh, or should I say the Ghost Rider. It very dangerous for that person to stay here."
He paused, looking at Constantine: "If I'm not mistaken, you're here for him, right?"
"That person is named Johnny Blaze," Constantine replied.
"He himself isn't dangerous. What dangerous is the Spirit of Vengeance inside him and the lord of Hell, Mephisto, who won't let go of him."
"The lord of Hell, Mephisto?"
Old Dad suddenly exclaimed in surprise, "That big trouble."
"Mephisto?"
"Who is he?"
"Is he another terrifying demon?"
The three looked at each other in confusion.
"He is a demon more fearsome than the saints."
Old Dad spoke seriously: "In the age of ancient civilizations, the saints and seven other demons briefly ruled over the Earth.
They were formidable but in the real Hell, they weren't really big shots. Mephisto, on the other hand, is one of the lords of Hell and was a powerful demon ruling Hell even before those ancient civilizations.
Back then, Earth was like a farm to Mephisto and these powerful demons, used to corral humans and consume their souls... until the Eight Immortals appeared."
"The Eight Immortals?"
Constantine pondered thoughtfully.
He was also absorbing this world view, which he was not very familiar with and had just come across.
Old Dad continued: "The Eight Immortals defeated the eight great demons, including the saints, using powerful magic, and sealed them in another dimensional space.
We also call this dimension Hell, but in reality, it not the true Hell, but a separate space distinct from Earth and Hell."
