I had a meeting with an elder, someone I have known for a while since my father's time. He was a sort of friend.
I needed to ask him some questions if he knew about Rowan's father. This time, I wanted to go without Rowan because I see how much this hurts him even when he says it doesn't bother him.
But that's not why I didn't want to go with him. Rowan was a strong man and could endure anything but it's because,
I had a bad feeling about this.

Was it wise to leave my issues and focus on his? No.
But I had no choice, I had promised him something and I was going to fulfill it no matter what. If he hears that I have been digging around without him while being a prime suspect of a case, he would blow a fuse.
