Adruan and I went back to the restaurant three days later. We figured that whoever was after me would be gone by now so we waited it out.
The restaurant was still in shambles, construction workers were still working on some parts. We entered and one of them directed us to a mean looking man.
Apparently, he was the owner. The owner looked at us like we had two heads as we approached.
"You again?" he muttered, crossing his arms.
Adrian and I exchanged a glance before I turned back to the man. "What do you mean, 'again'? We haven't been here since the shooting."
He scoffed. "That's not what I was told. Someone already came in and asked to see the footage. I run a legitimate business, I have no idea who would do something like this."
My brows furrowed. "Who?"
"Didn't get his name. Just said he had business watching the cameras."
I sighed, rubbing my temple. "Was he about my height? White hair? A permanent scowl on his face?"
