Velmara stepped into the grove.
Her pace slowed as she saw both her mother and Elaris already standing near the containment circle.
Before she could speak, her attention snapped to the center.
The transparent cage pulsed with barely.
Inside it stood Zephyron.
Velmara froze. Her entire posture shifted.
She took one step forward, then another, faster now.
She moved past the guards and stopped right at the edge of the barrier, hands clenched at her sides.
Electricity crackled across Zephyron's wings—sharp streaks of yellow and green, dancing through its feathers.
The beast didn't move. It stared back at her.
Velmara didn't speak.
She took another step, eyes locked on every twitch of energy rippling across its frame.
She circled the edge of the cage slowly, studying the storm beast from every angle.
When she finally looked back at Elaris, her voice came low and sharp.
"What the hell is this?"
Elaris didn't answer right away.
