Especially the Tracker Captain—he shot forward like a rabid dog off its leash, leading the charge. He had to stay within tracking range at all times.
The humans moved fast. Some sprinted down the streets, others leapt across rooftops, sweeping through the city like a swarm of locusts.
But just moments later, the Tracker Captain's brow furrowed.
"Boss, the target stopped moving!"
"Oh?" Adrian raised an eyebrow, surprised. Why'd he stop running? he wondered. Is this another trap? He scanned the area ahead and noticed the black mist had thinned out a bit.
That meant the target had left the mist's cover.
Could it be… he's got nowhere left to run?
