James Brown had been telling Sandra stories for a while, which were actually stories from his regiment, though he naturally avoided any confidential details, sharing only amusing and interesting anecdotes with her.
After chatting for over ten minutes, Sandra, to his surprise, tilted her head and leaned on his shoulder before closing her eyes and saying, "Brother-in-law, keep going. Don't mind me."
Sandra's soft voice made it impossible for James to refuse, so he continued for a while until she slid down onto his lap. James quickly supported her head with his hand, letting her gently rest on his lap. Looking at her sweet, sleeping face, he couldn't help but laugh and cry at the same time. His sister-in-law was just like a child, falling asleep while listening to stories.
Watching her peaceful sleeping face, James really didn't have the heart to wake her, so he simply picked her up and began walking toward her bedroom.
