"Gina, go outside, you're not needed here," James Brown said as he grabbed Gina Lopez's shoulders and pushed her out to prove his point once again.
Gina reflexively struggled, glanced outside, then twisted her body and said, "Alright, I'm going out. You do your thing." Then she quickly walked out.
Gina's reaction once again confirmed James Brown's suspicion that she did not like him and did not genuinely want to be with him.
Since Gina didn't truly like him, James Brown could easily guess her intention, which was still because of Grace Lopez. Because Grace had developed feelings for him, Gina wanted to avoid such a situation—it wasn't that she thought James was not good enough, but things like these happening at home were too awkward. First, he was her boyfriend and then her sister's; it'd be too hard to explain to their parents.
That meant Gina didn't necessarily have to be with him, just as long as he wasn't with Grace, that would be enough.
