Chapter 398 - Chapter 399: Falcon Sam

As Scott was knocked back to his "original form," the screen trembled violently, a clear indication of just how powerful Falcon Sam's punch was.

Wanda, growing concerned, edged closer to Alan. "Scott's combat skills seem no match for Sam's. Alan, can he really pull this off?"

Hope shared the same worry, her brows tightly furrowed as she stared intently at the screen.

She had already warned Scott to retreat first, but not only did he ignore her orders, he even brazenly introduced himself to the Avengers at their base.

Hope suddenly felt that their future mission—sneaking into the exhibition to retrieve the Wasp suit—might have an even lower success rate than she had hoped.

Alan, on the other hand, remained the calmest among them, as if his heart rate was the most stable in the room. After all, he already knew how things would unfold—every detail was clear in his mind.

On the screen, Sam landed a heavy punch on Scott's arm, making him stagger backward. Before Scott could react, Sam's hand was already gripping his throat.

This sight made Hope and Hank Pym's hearts clench in anxiety.

Was Scott really going to be captured by the Avengers just like that?

With a single hand, Sam tightened his grip on Scott's throat. His mechanical wings unfurled instantly as he lifted off, intending to drop Scott from a height and knock him unconscious.

However, the moment Sam loosened his grip, the cunning Scott pressed his shrink button and vanished right before Sam's eyes.

Sam was forced to rely on his infrared lens to track Scott—his tiny size made it nearly impossible to spot with the naked eye.

As Sam retracted his wings and landed back on the grass, Scott suddenly leaped onto him, executing a scissor-leg takedown—a move Hope had taught him before.

With expert precision, Scott locked his legs around Sam's neck and brought him crashing to the ground.

This unexpected turn of events made Hope's worried expression soften into a slight smile.

It seemed Scott had really been paying attention during training. Otherwise, how could he have executed her technique so perfectly?

"Oh God, I just hope Scott doesn't forget the real reason he's infiltrating the Avengers' base," Hank Pym muttered, removing his glasses.

At that moment, Scott appeared to be too engrossed in fighting Sam, as if he had completely forgotten his mission.

After pushing Sam away again, Scott caught a glimpse of something from the corner of his eye.

His heart leaped with excitement.

The warehouse!

That was the warehouse symbol—meaning the signal luring device must be inside. He had to find a way to get closer.

Without hesitation, Scott shrank down again and called out loudly, "Ant-thony, get over here!"

He needed Ant-thony's help—flying would be much faster than running on foot.

Suddenly, the screen went black, and Scott's image disappeared completely.

———

Hank Pym's heart clenched again. "Scott? Are you okay? We can't see you anymore!"

Without Scott's image, they had no way of analyzing the situation from their end.

What worried Hank the most was whether Scott had been caught. "Scott, come on, answer us!"

BANG!

A loud crash instantly drew their attention.

Their eyes widened as they saw Sam slam into the warehouse's metal door, causing it to crack open.

His mechanical wings were still flapping wildly, lifting him into the air—but something was clearly wrong.

He was flying erratically, like a headless fly, with no sense of direction.

Sam's hands clawed frantically at his own body, his movements panicked, while his mouth let out pained cries.
