Chapter 395 - Chapter 396: Can’t Return Empty-Handed

Since Scott had already set off, he wasn't planning on returning empty-handed.

Wanda quietly leaned toward Alan and whispered in his ear, "Alan, do you think Scott will get caught?"

She was worried that if the Avengers misunderstood the situation, it might implicate Alan as well, causing him to be seen as an accomplice.

Alan gently placed a reassuring hand on Wanda's shoulder. "He won't."

From the very beginning, Alan had known that the old warehouse had long been transformed into an Avengers base by Tony Stark.

Besides, this secret mission was actually a training exercise—a gift from Alan to the Avengers as part of their new recruit evaluation program.

If Scott could successfully steal something from the base, it would prove that he was capable enough to join their ranks.

Hearing Alan's confident response, Wanda felt reassured. If he said everything was fine, then there was nothing to worry about.

Hope stared intently at the screen displaying Scott's live feed. "Come back now, Scott. We need to come up with a new plan!"

Scott's response was exactly what Alan had expected.

"No way! It looks completely unguarded. And since I'm the size of an ant, they won't even notice me. I'm already here—I can't just leave empty-handed!"

Hope and Hank Pym were left speechless by Scott's stubbornness.

"He's doomed. The Avengers are never going to accept him after this," Dr. Pym sighed, covering his face in exasperation.

He had already braced himself for the possibility of having to deal with Stark. With Tony's unpredictable nature, who knew? Maybe he'd end up designing multiple Ant-Man suits of his own.

If Alan could read Hank Pym's thoughts right now, he would have been surprised—because Pym's fears were actually spot on.

In the future, to save the entire universe, Tony and the others would end up working together to develop several Ant-Man suits, enabling them to enter the Quantum Realm and alter the timeline.

Hope twirled a pen between her fingers. "Let's just trust Scott."

With that, everyone's attention returned to the screen, watching as Scott and his bullet ant landed on the rooftop of the Avengers base.

Due to the momentum from the landing, Scott tumbled several times across the gravel-covered roof before finally coming to a stop.

"Jeez! That was close. Good thing I reacted fast, or I would've cracked my skull open. Dr. Pym, I've made it to the rooftop!"

While complaining about his near faceplant, Scott didn't forget to report his status to Alan and the others.

Deep down, he prayed he wouldn't get caught—he still wanted to be friends with Iron Man and Captain America one day.

"Scott, be careful! Someone's coming!" Hope's voice was sharp with urgency as she kept a close eye on the monitor, ready to warn Scott of any threats.

Not far away, a figure resembling a falcon soared through the sky, landing steadily on the rooftop before retracting his mechanical wings.

The base's security alarms had already gone off the moment Scott entered, which surprised both Tony and Natasha.

They hadn't expected the intruder to move so swiftly.

From the outside, the base had shown no signs of intrusion—so how had he managed to get in without making a sound?

Tony had no intention of dealing with Scott personally. Instead, he sent Sam Wilson to intercept him.

Of course, if Scott Lang could outmaneuver and defeat Sam, then the Avengers would gladly welcome him as a new recruit.

"Whoa, Hope, did you see that? It's Falcon!" Scott whispered excitedly, as if he had just spotted a celebrity.
