Before getting Dr. Hank Pym's consent, Alan wouldn't make any decisions on his behalf, nor would he call Tony over ahead of time.
Doing so would be disrespectful to both parties.
Hank Pym pondered for a moment, then lifted his head, his tone softening a little:
"Alright, then I'll trouble you with it, Alan. I believe with Stark involved, this plan will be more stable."
His initial intent was to avoid any involvement with Stark—their ideologies were simply too different.
But after Alan's persuasion, Hank Pym had begun to change his view of Tony Stark.
Maybe Tony really _was_ changing—perhaps he truly had no hidden agenda or ulterior motive.
Maybe Alan was right: Stark genuinely desired peace, which was why he agreed to join S.H.I.E.L.D. and form the Avengers.
Although Hank had previously resigned from S.H.I.E.L.D., who's to say today's S.H.I.E.L.D. wasn't a different beast altogether?
"Alright. I'll invite Stark over tomorrow," Alan said, seeing that today's mission had reached a temporary conclusion.
Scott now stood a strong chance of passing the Avengers' rookie evaluation.
Alan reflected: with the Avengers guarding Earth, and himself alongside them, if Thanos and the Chitauri truly launched an invasion—
This time, they wouldn't be able to defeat the Avengers so easily!
Asgard would never sit idly by either—they were duty-bound to protect Earth and maintain the balance of the Nine Realms. That had always been their responsibility.
And now, with Hela and Angara joining forces, if Loki could let go of his schemes and work together with Thor...
Maybe they could crush Thanos' ambitions in the cradle before they ever took root!
"When will I ever be able to truly relax..." Alan sighed deeply.
If it weren't for the worry that killing Thanos prematurely would cause complete timeline chaos in this universe,
He honestly would've considered doing it already.
Like Hela, he could just storm Titan alone and take Thanos out while he was snoring away—
Slice off that weird chin of his, and peace would finally return.
And those Dark Elves? Who cares?
Compared to Thanos' insane ambition, the Dark Elves merely wanted to plunge all worlds into eternal darkness.
At least they weren't trying to wipe out half the universe's population.
They still wanted the beings of the universe to kneel before them and worship them as rulers.
So in comparison, the Dark Elves' goals were like some edgy teenager's phase—
Over-the-top, dramatic, but not nearly as destructive as Thanos.
"I guess... being a hero—especially one everyone praises as the 'Emperor'—makes it hard to truly rest, huh?" Wanda blurted out.
She didn't know why, but she felt that even if Alan's plans sounded simple, actually achieving them wouldn't be easy at all.
"I know, I know. Looks like that whole 'with great power comes great responsibility' line wasn't just for kids after all."
"Let me drive, then. At least you'll get a few minutes to relax," Gwen said, giving Alan a playful wink.
"Gwen, you're my hero!" Alan's exaggerated praise earned him a round of teasing from the two girls.
Meanwhile, back at home, Scott had just opened the door—only to see his three eccentric roommates standing solemnly in the living room.
What creeped Scott out wasn't just that they were standing...
They were all gathered around the table, heads lowered, staring intently at its surface.
"What are you guys doing? Holding some kind of ritual?"
