When Bruce left, the new guy heaved a sigh of relief.
Charlotte looked at him with suspicion.
Meeting her eyes, he said, "I'm Lewis. You've helped me before. When you hit me with the money back then, I knew you intended to help me."
Charlotte suddenly recalled.
He was the kidnapper who was trying to earn some money to save his child.
"How did you end up here?" asked Charlotte.
Lewis looked hesitant.
"My relative was the one who got me this job. I was told the money is good and all I have to do is prepare their meals."
