As I got into the passenger seat of Aizawa's car I wondered who we would visit first. "Nezu got a few parents that requested to see you personally so that's what we're gonna do." he said as he drove into the city, "Any idea why?" I asked as I scrolled through my playlist looking for something decent to listen to while he drove. Shooting me a 'Are you serious?' glance Aizawa explained "You showed power beyond that of All Might and impaled one of the world's most dangerous criminals." oh yeah I did do that, well he deserved it "I'd do it again." I said serious as Aizawa sighed "Not very heroic of you, and now we got countries from all over trying to learn more about you and your quirks." "Oh so you noticed?" I asked since I didn't really hide it but didn't go out of my way to make known. "Nezu noticed first, then me and then the rest of the world when they replayed the footage a few times." he explained 'Not to mention AFO has yet to move from the spot no matter how hard the HPSC tries.' he thought internally which I heard but chose not to comment on.
After a few minutes of driving we entered a suburbs full of nice houses, "So who's first on the list?" I asked as the song changed "First we're going to visit Katsumi and her family since she just got discharged from the hospital, she was very loud when she learned she missed the fight." he said "I'll bet she was." I replied as I thought about what to say to Katsumi. It's not that I didn't like her, its just I have more important things to focus on other than romance, plus by the time I come anywhere close to being ready she'll be long dead, 'just like everyone else' the voice sneered as I turned the volume up.
After a few more minutes of driving Aizawa finally stopped and we got out, 'Looks pretty normal to me' I thought as we walked up to the door and knocked. "Yeah who is it?" a woman who looked a lot like Katsumi said as she opened the door, "Hello, my name is Shota Aizawa and I'm your daughter's teacher at UA, may we come in? We have something we would like to discuss." Aizawa said as the woman nodded her head, "Of course, come inside KATSUMI GET DOWN HERE, YOU TEACHER AND BOYFRIEND ARE HERE!" she yelled startling Aizawa as I groaned internally. "SHUT THE F*CK UP YOU HAG, I DON'T HAVE NO DAMN BOYFRIEND!" came Katsumi's 'colorful' reply as we stepped in and took our shoes off.
"She's right, I'm not her boyfriend." I told her as Aizawa snickered behind me "Coulda fooled me with how you saved her ass a few days ago, plus you're all she talks about." Katsumi's mom says as she leads up into the living room and we sit down. There waiting is a brown haired man who is noticeably quieter than his wife "KATSUMI GET YOUR ASS DOWN HERE NOW!" "SHUT UP I'M COMING DOWN" "Hello nice to meet you, I'm Masaru and my wife's name is Mitsuki." he said as he shook our hands "Nice to meet you." Aizawa says as we sit down, before we can start though Katsumi arrives "I'M HERE WHAT WHERE YOU SAYING ABOUT MY TEACHER HAG!" she yells as Mitsuki yells for her to quiet down and sit down "I see where she gets her spirit from." I whisper as me and Aizawa lance at each other knowingly, "Please calm down dear, Mr. Aizawa has something to tell us, and he's brought Carter." Masaru says and magically both Bakugou women calm down, thought not without staring each other down like arch rivals.
"What's your secret?" I ask Masaru half serious and he laughs as Aizawa explains to them why we're there. "Due to the recent attacks of class 1-A and various other events, Principal Nezu has decided to construct dorms on campus as is offering students residency free of charge." he says as Masaru and Mitsuki nod their heads "Sounds great it'll get Katsumi out of my house." Mitsuki says as Katsumi yells at her before snapping her head towards me, "And what the hell are you doing here?" she demands "Aww she even lowered her voice for him~" Mitsuki purrs as she and Katsumi start fighting again. "He's here because your parents asked to meet him." Aizawa says after things finally calm down again.
"What do you wanna meet him for?" Katsumi asks glaring at her parents as Masaru smiles and Mitsuki glares right back. "We wanted to meet the boy that saved you and others in your class and give him our thanks" Masaru explained "And because you never shut up about him." Mitsuki adds as she turns to me "So what do you think of Katsumi, perfect girlfriend material right~" she says as Katsumi goes to blast her with her quirk but Aizawa cancels it out "Calm down already." he says as she growls but looks at me as if waiting for an answer.
"I'm not into dating right now, my focus is on other things." I say tactfully as Mitsuki pouts and Katsumi slouches, just barely. "Aww that's too bad, well if you even change your mind we give our blessing." she says as her and Katsumi start fighting again and me and Aizawa get up to leave, "Thanks for stopping by and talking to us about this." Masaru says as we step out the house "And thank you so much for saving Katsumi, I know she has her quirks but she always talks about you, mostly yelling as she trains but close enough." he says smiling and we shake hands before getting back in the car.
"Don't even start, I'd expect such behavior from Midnight not you." I say as Aizawa drives off smirking. "Hey if her parents gave the all clear what stopping you?" he teases 'rage' "How come you and Ms.Joke never get together." I shoot back and he shuts up and glares at me "It's complicated." he says as I shrug and go back to listening to my music.
As we drive I notice that the houses are gradually getting more and more luxurious, "Let me guess, Yaoyorozu is next." I say dryly as Aizawa snorts "What gave it away?" I don't answer as I skip to the next song and shift my wings to be a bit more comfortable. "Dang thats fancy." I say as we come up to a large fence, Aizawa just nods as we drive alongside it for a solid five minutes before a gate appears, turning into it Aizawa stops in front of it a rolls the window down. "State you identity." a voice says from a speaker in the fence, "Shota Aizawa, I have a meeting with Mr. and Mrs. Yaoyorozu." he says and they sit for a few seconds before "The master has been expecting you, welcome." then cuts off as the gate opens and he drives in.
'Dang, and I thought UA was fancy.' the view before him was very different than what he was used to. The mansion was massive, several stories high and the ground surrounding the estate were immaculate, full of green grass, fertile trees and even animals scurrying about "Was that a peacock?" I say surprised as Aizawa shrugs "When you family name can represent the wealth of several third world countries combined, you can afford certain things beyond the imagination of others." I just nodded as we drove up to the front of the mansion.
As the car stopped well dressed butler opened the door, "Welcome, please follow me inside, they are waiting." as they walked through I still struggled to wrap my head around how much was spent on this place, art work lined the walls with stands or armour lining the hall. Reaching a very large room Aizawa and I found Momo and two refined adults who looked just like her. "Greetings, you must be Mr. Aizawa and Carter, Momo has had plenty to say about the both of you." her father said standing to greet them as he shook their hands and they all sat down. "So what brings you by today?" he asked once they were settled as a servant nearby brought tea, "I am here to discuss the dorms that are being built on campus at UA, and whether or not your daughter will still be attending school with us after the various events as of late." Aizawa said as I took a sip of tea, 'not bad, mother made it better though.' I thought sadly.
"Ah yes, Principal Nezu informed me the other day, although my wife and I would rather Momo stay at home and learn how to run the family business, she is quite determined to become a hero, so she will be moving into the dorms when they are ready." Mr. Yaoyorozu said glancing at me then at Momo as Aizawa nodded his head, "Very well, I will be sure to tell Principal Nezu of your decision.", seeing him glance at me I sighed internally "May I ask, why I my presence was requested today?" I saw as politely as I can since Momo's family is much more refined that Katsumi's.
"Ah yes, well we simply wished to get a look at the newest hero the news keeps going on and on about, plus we have a proposition if you would like to hear it." he says as I narrow my eyes. Even though I keep out of the public eye, I do my research and I know how deep this family is in bed with the Japaneses government as well as the HPSC having a long like of heroes that have helped keep the country stable, with connections like that, they most likely know about my relationship with Cathleen. "Well here I am in the flesh, I hope I haven't disappointed after the spectacle I put on the other night. What proposition do you have in mind?" I say as Momo looks at me weird probably not used to hearing me talk so much.
"Oh it was quite the show, we have lost several family members over the decades to that man, it was good to see justice be served after all theses years. As for our proposition, perhaps you and Momo could get engaged and you could join the family." he says and I have to choke down the Tea I was drinking so as to not spit it out in surprise, 'Why is everyone throwing their kids at me the fuck?!' I scream internally as Momo goes bright red with embarrassment even though she had a suspicion of what her parents might do. "Think about it, Momo certainly has a good figure, and you both have bright futures ahead of you, the perfect couple!" Mrs. Yaoyorozu says as I calm down slowly.
'They want something, don't trust the humans' the voice snarls angrily, I don't blame it for once. "Unfortunately I am not looking for a partner, but perhaps in the future we could work together in some way." I say as I lightly tap Aizawa with my foot 'time to go mf' getting the message he stands up. "Unfortunately we have more families to visit today so we must really be going." he says as he stands up. "Very well, Momo see them out." he waves them off and they leave.
"I apologize for my parents." Momo says as she leads us back out, "It's fine, nothing new." I tell her as Aizawa snickers beside me. Once we get outside Aizawa turns to her, "The dorms are ready now, Carter has already moved in so if your parents are ok with it, you can move in before the others." he says and she nods as I get into the car.
As we drive off neither of us speak as we mentally digest what we just went through. "Where do you buy your sleeping bags?" I ask and he glances at me for a second before turning his eyes back to the road, "I had Power Loader custom make them for me, resistant to lots of things and really comfortable." he said. It makes sense though since Power Loader IS the hero in charge of the Support course, and that sleeping bag sure supports Aizawa when Ida and Katsumi start fighting, I'll have to ask him to make me a few when we get back.
