Creed had the distinct feeling that he was being tossed around like a ragdoll in a hurricane.
Up. Down. Sideways. Diagonally.
It was like some cosmic force had picked him up and decided to shake him senseless. He barely had time to process what was happening before—
WHAM!
He crashed hard into solid ground.
Pain exploded through his body as he landed awkwardly, his right ankle twisting violently beneath him.
"ARGH!"
A strangled yelp tore from his throat as he immediately collapsed onto his side, clutching his foot.
His vision spun, his stomach churned, and for a brief, horrifying moment, he thought he might actually throw up.
"What the hell was that?!" he groaned, gasping through the pain. He rolled onto his back, staring up at the sky, only to blink in confusion.
There was no sky.
Instead, a swirling void of shifting colors loomed overhead, warping and twisting like some kind of liquid rainbow.
