The two alphas were surprised by Claire's presence who suddenly opened the door. Claire himself was also surprised because he didn't do it on purpose which made them turn to him immediately.
'Damn, you idiot! Why did you have to open the door this wide in front of them? You're listening to what they're saying and that's not a good thing to do,' Claire thought somewhat frantically.
"Claire, what am I doing here?" asked Oliver.
"Oh, I just intended to get my laptop and documents that I left on the table earlier. I was in a hurry to go to the bathroom so I left them here," he replied while trying to remain calm.
However, he also apologized for accidentally listening to their conversation and he didn't mean to do so. Gordon understood and he smiled, then he patted his son's shoulder and walked out of the meeting room.
