Chapter 127 - Mystique's Night Attack: The Power of Special Cards

Who is Mystique's boyfriend?

Looking at the entire X-Men movie series, in the old version, Mystique was explosive but only a minor character, designed as Magneto's lackey. However, after losing her mutant powers, Magneto mercilessly abandoned her.

In the prequel series, Mystique rose to the role of the female lead and even pursued Professor X, but he only treated her as a sister.

Later, Mystique seemed to have a fling with Beast, Hank McCoy, ultimately dying in his arms.

However, some say that even at her death, Mystique never looked at Beast but kept her gaze fixed on Professor X.

So, could it be that Professor X was Mystique's true love?

Su Ye scratched his head, suddenly feeling that his precious hair might not be safe for long.

As for the comics, Mystique had several husbands and even dabbled in same-sex relationships. These probably don't count, as the system likely won't acknowledge them.

[Ding! Using the Excellent-Grade Girlfriend Card 'Mystique (Special Star)'... Girlfriend dispatching...]

Regardless, this card had to be used. After activating it, Su Ye could only go to sleep and quietly wait for a miracle to happen.

Once he lay down, Su Ye quickly fell asleep and found himself back in his childhood in his dreams.

At that time, his dad and mom were very busy and often weren't home at night, leaving him alone in the house.

One night, while he was sleeping, he suddenly heard noises from the kitchen. Grabbing a rolling pin, he went to check and found his mom rummaging through the fridge, looking hungry. Her tone and expression were completely different from usual.

After Su Ye saw through her disguise, the fake mom transformed into a little girl with a blue face and red hair.

Later, that little girl took on the surname Su and lived in Su Ye's house.

The dream felt incredibly real, as if it weren't a dream but an actual memory.

However, in the latter half of the dream, the scene suddenly turned gloomy, with lightning and heavy rain, but it was unclear what exactly happened.

Meanwhile, the skies over New York suddenly turned dark, with thunder rumbling overhead.

Suddenly, a flash of lightning illuminated Su Ye's room, and at some point, his door had been slightly opened.

A slender figure quietly slipped in through the gap, tiptoeing to Su Ye's bedside, and launched a sneak attack on the sleeping Su Ye.

The attack came so suddenly that, masked by the thunder and lightning outside, it didn't alarm the guards in the Oscorp Tower.

But against Su Ye, who had Spider Sense, even in his sleep, a night attack was futile.

Su Ye countered with a Lion's Grip, pinning the attacker firmly under the blanket, but the assailant remained calm, countering with a skillful "Old Tree Strike Back" move.

As the saying goes, when equals meet, the battle is extraordinary. Su Ye's attack was strong, but the opponent wasn't weak either, possessing powerful shapeshifting abilities.

One moment, she transformed into Gwen, then Sharon, then Black Widow, then Maria Hill, and even Hinata...

The formidable shapeshifting ability and diverse combat skills left Su Ye in awe.

The night passed without further incident...

The next morning, Su Ye opened his eyes, glanced to his side, and raised an eyebrow.

Red hair, blue skin — up close, the visual impact was undeniable.

This skin color made her seem like an entirely different species. If it were black like a pearl, it might have been easier to accept.

Looking at her skin, Su Ye couldn't help but wonder: would it rub off? Hopefully, it wouldn't stain the bed, his body, or his, um, "little buddy"...

Well, that was overthinking it. The blue was her natural skin color, not dye, so of course, it wouldn't rub off.

The red-haired, blue-skinned woman beside him was, of course, last night's attacker, who Su Ye had ultimately subdued.

Her identity? The Mystique card Su Ye had just drawn.

Su Ye hadn't expected Mystique to arrive so quickly and so directly. Was this the power of a girlfriend card with the "special" suffix?

What reassured Su Ye was that, despite her blue skin, Mystique didn't have as many scaly protrusions as in the movies.

Thus, not only was she visually appealing, but her touch also felt comfortable.

Besides, blue skin wasn't a big deal. Once you got used to it, it even seemed a bit cute.

Without disturbing Mystique, Su Ye reached up to feel his hair. Thankfully, it was still there—he wasn't bald yet.

Then, Su Ye placed two fingers on his temples, trying to use a Spider-Sense-like ability to perceive his surroundings.

He soon discovered that the world he "saw" had changed. Walls no longer blocked his view, and many small blue dots representing moving people appeared before him.

He randomly selected one dot, and unfamiliar information instantly flooded his mind.

"Another busy day. I wonder when New York will finish rebuilding."

He switched to another dot.

"That guy ahead looks sharp. His suit fits perfectly. I wonder if he's into men..."

Ahem! What the heck? There's even a closet fencer among the building's staff?

Too much information! He switched to another dot.

"Commander Su is so handsome. I'd love to have his babies. That'd be awesome!"

Not bad, nice ambition. Keep it up. He moved to another.

"Last night, I dreamt of Commander Su. It felt like spring. So happy!"

I'd suggest sleeping a bit more—maybe you'll continue that spring dream.

Clearly, these small blue dots represented individual people, and Su Ye had acquired the ability to freely read their thoughts.

This ability naturally came from Professor X's telepathy, and this was just the most basic application. Many more powerful capabilities awaited his gradual development.

So, Mystique's final boyfriend was Professor X? He was a leading figure in the X-Men, after all.

Su Ye was quite pleased. He had grown stronger, hadn't gone bald, and had conquered something powerful—threefold happiness.

Moreover, this ability to secretly peek into others' thoughts was quite addictive. The female employees in the building were attractive and had pleasant voices, making it hard to resist.

He chuckled and switched to another dot.

"I wonder when Commander Su will show up. I put on makeup especially for today—he should notice my effort!"

"I even bought coffee specifically. I hope I get a chance to give it to Commander Su."

…..

"Why isn't Ye up yet? I'll go wake him. Last night, I talked with Sharon all night and couldn't visit him. He won't be mad, right? Maybe I'll give him a good morning apology bite... Wait, what's this weird feeling? It's like someone's watching me!"

"Hiss!"

Su Ye couldn't help but suck in a breath. This one was Gwen.

His reaction wasn't because Gwen had caught him peeking, but because Mystique was still lying beside him. How would he explain this if Gwen found out?

And Gwen was already outside the door. Even if he wanted Mystique to leave now, it was too late.

"Raven, wake up!"

While using telepathy to connect with Mystique and urge her to wake up, Su Ye glanced at the unlocked door, thinking of ways to lock it to delay Gwen's entry.

Could he use webbing? But his web-shooter wasn't on him.

Telepathy could control someone's thoughts and actions, so he could freeze Gwen outside. But wouldn't her Spider-Sense detect it?

If only telepathy could control the lock.

As Su Ye pondered, he suddenly felt a mysterious power surge within him.

Then, with a click, the door lock engaged on its own.

Su Ye's eyes lit up.

"This... is Magneto's power?"

Raising his hand, Su Ye gestured toward the web-shooter on the table. It floated into the air, slowly drifting to his hand, automatically attaching itself to his wrist.

Then, with a wave of both hands, all the metallic objects on the table floated up and began to dance around in the air.

As expected of a card with the "special" suffix, coupled with Magneto's power—this was quadruple the happiness.

"Brother, can't I sleep a little longer? I'm so tired," Mystique muttered groggily behind him.

The Mystique, Raven, murmured from behind him.

Su Ye, still watching the floating metal objects and pondering how to develop his magnetic manipulation powers, responded without turning around.

"Get up quickly; my girlfriend is coming…"

In that instant, the air seemed to freeze, and all the floating metal objects clattered to the ground.

Su Ye turned his head in a daze, mentally screaming, Raven, let me explain!

However, Raven didn't seem to mind. She merely rolled her eyes and huffed, "I get it."

Then, her blue skin rapidly shifted, and in no time, she transformed into a well-dressed, cheerful-looking young man who bore a striking resemblance to Su Ye.

At that moment, Gwen, hearing the clattering noises inside, kicked open the locked door and rushed in.

"Ye, what's going on...?"

Upon entering, Gwen scanned the room sharply and then noticed Raven, now seated on the sofa, casually pretending to read a magazine.

"And this is...?"

Su Ye scratched his head, trying to maintain a calm expression as he began to explain.

But Raven stood up first, smiling as she addressed Gwen.

"Hello, I'm Su Ruiwen, his younger brother. I just arrived from the Dragon Kingdom last night. With everything going on here, our father was worried, so he sent me to check in on him."

As Raven spoke, she stepped forward, giving Gwen a once-over with a faint smile.

"You must be Gwen Stacy, my brother's girlfriend?"

Gwen was completely stunned. She hadn't expected someone else in Su Ye's room, but since it was a man, it wasn't as concerning.

She was confident that Su Ye wouldn't stoop to fooling around with another man.

However, this person was Su Ye's brother, also surnamed Su, and sent by their father. What was his purpose here?

Was he here to take Su Ye back to the Dragon Kingdom?

After her brief encounter with Hinata yesterday, Gwen had temporarily set aside her doubts, but the issue lingered like a thorn in her throat.

The appearance of this man, who called himself Su Ruiwen, set off alarm bells in Gwen's mind, filling her with a strong sense of crisis.

Seeing that Gwen remained silent, Raven shrugged and turned to look at Su Ye.

"Looks like your little sister-in-law doesn't like me."

Su Ye chose to stay silent. In this situation, he had no grounds to intervene.

On one side was his official girlfriend, and on the other, Raven, who had just helped him unlock a powerful new ability. Staying quiet seemed the best course of action.

The rest could be dealt with later.

Gwen quickly shook her head. "No, no, it's just… too sudden. I wasn't prepared. Um, you guys carry on. I'll go find someone to fix the door."

With that, Gwen backed out of the room and left without looking back.

I'm a foreigner, just a "foreign girl" in their eyes. It was bad enough that Hinata didn't approve of me. Now, I've kicked Ye's door down in front of his brother. If his parents find out, they might reject me even more.

Fleeing, Gwen was already panicking and didn't notice Su Ye's telepathic probing.

Meanwhile, in the room, Raven walked up to Su Ye, tilting her head as she scrutinized his face.

"What's wrong? Feeling sorry for her? I haven't even said anything yet. Want me to bring her back and comfort her for you?"

As she spoke, Raven mimicked one of Michael Jackson's classic dance moves and raised an eyebrow. "You know, I'm perfectly capable of comforting her now."

Su Ye rolled his eyes. "No need, thanks!"

Shaking his head, Su Ye got dressed and walked over to the window.

"You mentioned earlier that our old man sent you?"

Raven stopped beside him and nodded. "Yeah, our old man said you might be in danger and told me to check on you. So I rushed over last night. I just didn't expect you to…"

As she spoke, Raven struck a bashful pose.

"I never imagined it, Su Da Ye! You ignored me as a kid, and now you're like this… Hmph! I misjudged you!"

Su Ye resisted the urge to scratch his head. "You were the one who started it, okay?"

I just… didn't say no, that's all.

This time, Raven said nothing, simply staring at Su Ye with a look full of grievance, tears beginning to well up in her eyes.

Su Ye surrendered. "Fine, my bad. I forced you. I apologize, my dearest little brother."

"Hmph!" Raven turned her head away in mock anger, though a faint smile crept onto her face.

"By the way, did our old man say anything else when he sent you? Like bringing some scrolls or tools, or maybe getting some uncles or friends to come help?"

Su Ye asked again. Their old man knew there was danger here, which was why he sent Raven. But as Mystique, Raven could only shapeshift and had slightly faster wound recovery—she didn't have any other abilities.

What kind of help could someone like that provide?

She didn't come all this way just to deliver a pen, did she?

Raven shook her head. "I don't know about that. Old Su just said I needed to be here, and that I shouldn't worry about anything else."

"Hiss!"

Su Ye took a sharp breath. Old Su's words definitely had a hidden meaning.
