Vexthra woke up a day later feeling refreshed and more energetic than she could have sworn she felt the day before.
However, the moment she woke up, she sensed something was wrong.
"No need to look confused. I had Dori lock your memories of the knowledge you obtained about me and the Night Riders," Kent said, looking at her angrily.
"Oh..." Vexthra muttered, already sensing Kent was angry.
"I know you are angry, but—"
"But what? You clearly knew the price for learning something this dangerous, yet you did it. How can you be this careless, Vex?" Kent asked.
"I just..." She bowed her head, feeling the anger in Kent's voice.
"I know you just want to help me. But how are you helping me if it means you lose your life? Or do you want to die?"
"No."
"Then why would you do something this dangerous? You are a goddess; you are supposed to know better than we mortals, so how can you be this reckless?"
