"This creed…you saw them with your own eyes how they operate. If you find out your real family is also like them, what will you do?
She remained silent, her head facing the ground, strands of her hair falling over her face. Her lips pressed into a thin line, and I could see the tension in her shoulders. She was trying to form an answer.
I had asked a question, but I already knew the answer. Her family is part of the creed. The same family that took something…or someone very precious from me. They are ruthless and I will do the same to them. I will show them why they shouldn't mess with me.
The memory burned in the back of my mind like an unhealed wound. The same unhealed scar in my body, reminding me of the things I lost. That loss has driven me, shaped me into the man I was today. Ruthless and calculated. And I had no qualms about taking from them what they took from me.
