My mind ran through a series of deep thinking of how to deal against two of my nemesis that were in front of me. But my thoughts broke down as Vivian spoke to Nashia.
"What are you doing invading our realm?" Vivian asked, glaring down at Nashia who was looking at her with a thin smile on her face. "I thought I told you not to interfere with my plans?"
Nashia snickered. "You really think I wouldn't notice, Vivian? What? Do you think I'm stupid like the other two that just died from her hands?" She pointed at me. "I know what you're doing. Because of that, I want to be in as well." She showed her smirk that looked identical to a beast smiling to its prey. Her teeth were sharp, almost looking like fangs while her demonic eyes gleamed in bright yet dark color.
I don't know what they were talking about, but I broke the conversation between the two by unleashing a blast of magic attack in their way. Nashia protected herself by covering her whole body using her huge wings, while Vivian dodged the incoming attacks at her. I didn't stop the onslaught there. Darkness covered the whole floor and the shadows became alive. The demons that were trying to get in our way were slowly being consumed, sinking down to the void. Vivian released an aura of holy magic to blast away the shadows from her while Nashia simply needed to hover above the ground to avoid touching the floor.
"How rude to disturb the adults talking!" Vivian roared as she hurled her own magic in my way. A sword appeared on my hand and I used it to parry the magic attack. She released more magic attacks, but I kept on swinging my blade fast enough and with great precision to parry her magic.
"I feel lonely. Let me join as well, girls!" Nashia snickered and she released a powerful force of demonic magic that sent chills on my skin, making the hairs on my body stand. She unleashed a powerful magic attack in my way, making me dodge the attack while still parrying Vivian's magic. It became two against one, but I didn't show any fear against my enemies. Despite the speed and destruction from both attacks, I unleashed my own attack against them. Multiple dark spheres surrounded the two women and soon countless bullets of magic poured out from the spheres. Vivian had to cancel her attack to dodge the incoming quick attacks while Nashia just needed to cover herself with her wings again to shield her from the attacks. Soon, the whole floor was raining with black magic.
Vivian put up a shield once more, but before she could complete her shield, I closed in at her. I swung my blade at her, cutting her from her shoulder to hip. Blood squirted from the gaping wound I just made, but Vivian did a roundhouse kick against me, kicking me far from her. Vivian went down on her knees, trying to recover from the wound that I had made, but Nashia charged at her, her claws swinging up. Vivian dodged the sharp claws of the Queen of Hell and rolled on the ground to escape from Nashia.
My eyes widened at the action of Nashia at Vivian, and so does Vivian as well. "I thought you two were allies? Why attack her?" I asked, but Nashia laughed.
"Allies? In a world where you are competing for power, you can't trust anyone, little Ashe. In competition, everyone is your enemy. You have to do what it takes to defeat them before they can grow in power." Nashia said. "Especially after finding out what this nerd was about to do."
"What do you mean?" I asked, completely clueless.
Nashia even laughed more. "You didn't tell her daughter the reason you killed her and why? That's hilarious!"
I looked at Vivian, who was completely healed. She stood up while glaring down at Nashia who was still laughing. "She didn't need to know. I rather little Ashe paints me as a villain that killed her mother and nothing more."
"What?" I asked. I don't get it. She killed my mother. She murdered her. She betrayed her. So what the heck is she saying? You are a damn villain!
Nashia stopped laughing and she sighed. "Why are you willing to go this far just to help her? She is dead. The prophecy was fake. You two lied." She snarled.
"If the two of us were lied to, then why are you desperate to kill me and take over the Heavenly Realm?" Vivian smirked. "Only a fool will raid this realm for no reason."
I didn't know what was happening nor what they were talking about. I was about to continue my onslaught, but Nashia appeared in front of me and swung her claws deep to my flesh. I coughed out blood and rolled several meters away from her. I tried to heal, but my mana was already running low. Vivian appeared next to me and used her shield to protect me from Nashia's attack.
I struggled to form words, but I forced my mouth anyway. "What… are you… doing..?"
Vivian sighed and she clenched her fist while her other free hand healed me. "Listen to me, Ashe. Everything that has happened has a reason. Your rage has a purpose. Your vengeance has a purpose. Just stay low for now and let me deal with her."
I didn't understand why she was helping me nor understand what she just said. Vivian stood up and slowly approached Nashia who had just finished warming up before a fight.
Nashia smirked at Vivian. "So you won't trust me until the end. Is this your answer?"
Vivian summoned Holy Swords behind her back, her eyes glowing with bright light. "To fulfill the prophecy and make sure her death is not in vain nor my actions were not in vain, I have to do this."
The two opposite magic clashed around the air, shaking the whole floor with great intensity. Nashia and Vivian charged forward, their blades clashing against each other while magic was being shot out from up close. Despite the very close distance they have to one another, they still hurled magic at each other while fighting in close combat using claws and swords.
The two have the same speed and destructive power behind their attacks. However, Nashia was slowly being pushed back by Vivian in terms of magic. She flapped her wings hard for Vivian to be pushed away from her. Before Vivian could even land her foot on the ground, Nashia dashed straight at her while swinging her claws widely, hoping to catch Vivian. Two bright wings appeared from Vivian's back and she flew around Nashia's area of attack, dodging the deadly charge that was coming at her.
Vivian got behind her back and instead of using her sword, she blasted holy magic in front of her face, hitting Nashia dead on from up close. Vivian swung her sword after cutting Nashia in half before she could even process what happened.
Incredible. I was amazed and in awe. Despite being tired from fighting against Kalgaron and me, she could still move like she has lots of energy.
Nashia flapped her wings wildly, creating a strong wave of wind that pushed me and Vivian back. Nashia roared in fury and unleashed countless demonic magic against Vivian. Vivian put up a shield while conjuring her own magic and unleashing it in return. Soon, the floor was being rained down by holy and demonic mana, destroying everything around us. The only reason why I am still alive and not getting hit by their magic was because Vivian's shield was still up. I clicked my tongue in annoyance. Instead of killing her, I am here being protected by her. What a ridiculous turn of events.
Suddenly, Nashia dashed at Vivian. She swung her claws relentlessly at Vivian while unleashing magic from up close. Vivian just needed to flap her wings so she could push Nashia away from her and cancel all the magic that was being released in the air.
Nashia chuckled after being pushed back. "You are still as strong as ever. Despite fighting against that monkey general and little Ashe while dealing against a horde of demons, you still have the strength to be able to push me back. Interesting."
"Enough talking and come at me!" Vivian said, urging Nashia to move forward. But Nashia laughed more like a maniac, her laughter echoing throughout the whole tower. Soon, the floor trembled once more and a dark, demonic aura was covering Nashia's body. Her demonic eyes glowed more in crimson while her claws and wings were slowly getting bigger and sharper.
Nashia roared loud while releasing a heavy killing intent and demonic aura around her, causing the air to be heavy and the wind to be strong.
"Very well. I shall kill you with no remorse. Let's see if you can still fulfill that stupid prophecy."
