Glancing back at Uva, who was still spitting out blood but no longer as much as before, Violet couldn't hide her shock.
"You!! You could have killed her!" Violet said, reaching out to try and pull the cloak up over his head, only for her hand to be stopped midway before she could do so.
Even more surprised, she saw Cain raise her hand to his lips instead, planting a kiss over it as he spoke to Henry, all the while holding Violet's gaze.
"You may leave. Send everyone out of the mansion," Cain ordered. Henry, who had instantly lowered his head the moment Cain woke up and reacted, knelt down before responding.
"Yes, my lord!" Knowing better than to say or do anything else, Henry understood that although Cain had an easygoing expression on his face, it was quite clear that he was more than furious from the way he had flung Uva to the side without any remorse.
