Cain had just passed the vial back to Uva, who had an even more severe expression on her face when Violet could no longer keep her mouth shut, especially when it became clear that something was going on that she had no idea about.
"What's wrong? What does it smell like?" she asked, her brows knotted together as she looked from Uva to Cain and back to Uva, who had already begun to cast another spell under her breath, her eyes lit up again in a way that made it clear that it had something to do with analyzing the vial.
"Cain…" Violet whispered, wanting a response, especially after seeing the worried look deep in his eyes as he kept his gaze on the vial of blood that had been drawn from him.
"It smelled strange!" he said with a great knit of his brows as he raised his fingers to massage his forehead again in a way that showed that whatever pain he felt there was back with even greater intensity.
