Kael and the miner parted ways with the young man Trey. They agreed to meet later—maybe tomorrow—after exchanging their Status Band IDs.
Using a Status Band, Primers could communicate with each other no matter where they were in the world, as long as they had a connection to the UniNet, of course.
The miner and Kael hopped into a car, with Bach taking the steering wheel.
"Don't mind my car, it's a bit dirty. I haven't had the time to clean this piece of garbage," Bach said, using his fingerprint to start the vehicle.
The miner's car had been with him for many years, and some might even say it was a classic. It resembled a Mustang—but more futuristic. Like a futuristic garbage truck.
Kael had seen plenty of cars like this before, which meant it was a common vehicle.
"I bought this from a friend, with my meager miner salary. So it's very important to me," Bach said as the vehicle started moving.
"As long as it serves its purpose," Kael replied, not minding the dirt on his back.
