Ma Li's chest rapidly filled with a nameless rage that rose straight to the top of her skull after a few impatient scoldings from her daughter; yet, the target of this sinister fury was the inadvertently involved Su Li, standing to the side.
From a young age, Su Mo had always been Ma Li's darling, Ma Li's treasure, so how could she bear to vent her anger at her?
And so, the innocent Su Li suffered the brunt.
Ma Li slammed down her chopsticks and began berating Su Li as she pointed at her, "You naughty girl, if it wasn't for you making trouble early in the morning, how could it have irritated your sister to the point where she skipped breakfast and is now furious..."
If it had been any other time, Su Li would have definitely shrunk back and carefully apologized to her mother, without caring whether the anger had anything to do with her at all.
After all, the original Su Li was essentially a girl who was too kind to the point of being timid, and who desperately craved love.
