BAM!
With a loud bang, my body was thrown hard against the wooden roof of the old cabin, falling heavily to the ground. "Ugh, I think I broke some bones." Enduring the pain that coursed through my body, I managed to get up by leaning against the wall.
BOOM!
Looking up, I saw a beautiful woman with a curvaceous body dodging several ice spikes with ease. "So Subaru wasn't lying." My gaze focused on the half-elf and the small gray feline rubbing against her. "Magic exists in this world."
BOOM!
A massive amount of destructive magical power was launched toward the woman, freezing almost the entire place and leaving a gaping hole. "Come on, she must be dead with that," I managed to mutter, but from the fog emerged the woman, her clothes slightly destroyed and her injuries minor. "What a damn monster," I muttered as I continued talking to them; I was hurting so much I couldn't even hear clearly.
"Shit, I'm such a nuisance, even Subaru was helpful." I clenched my fists until my knuckles turned white from the frustration and uselessness I felt at that moment. It was then that a small flash of light from a box reminded me of a "small" detail; with my body aching and perhaps a few broken bones, I staggered toward the dimly glowing object as the sun set.
"Can you continue, Puck?"
"Sorry, but I'm pretty sleepy right now. I'll disappear if my mana runs out..."
"I understand. We'll do everything we can from now on, so take a break for today..."
"Okay, but only in case of a desperate situation."
"Hey, you crazy bitch!" Puck's words were cut off as I shouted loudly at the woman, gaining everyone's attention. "What did you say your name was?" I asked, looking into her eyes as I stood next to a golden box engraved with a goat's face and, beneath the engraving, a chain.
"I'm Elsa Granhiert, and it seems I'll be slicing your insides open first," she said playfully as she played with her short swords and prepared to charge at me. "So your name is Elsa, well, then let me introduce myself," I said with a giggle and slightly confident smile, causing Elsa to stop with a raised eyebrow.
"I'm Shin." I grabbed the chain of the golden box and pulled it hard, causing the box to open and reveal a beautiful golden goat statue that gave off a powerful golden aura. "I am the Saint or the Knight of Aries," I said, touching the golden statue. With a sharp flash, the statue shattered into pieces, each one a piece of armor, automatically sticking to my body, piece by piece.
"The guardian of the first house of the zodiac," I said, looking at my golden gauntlets, the armor already fully equipped, feeling the overwhelming energy and power I felt with just a flick of my fingers. "And also," looking up, I saw Elsa with her short swords just inches away from me. "I don't like your damn face near me!"
