Chapter 8 - Act 02 - Police Charity Ball (PT-01).

- "Fuck, she knows." - Peter thought, seeing the wry humor in her eyes, as if she knew some secret that would give her an advantage in something.

- And then... Gwen. - Peter took his attention away from the wonderful redhead. - What's the ceremony? Are you cutting class?

- What? - Gwen said as if it were a sin, causing Peter to raise a smile. - Of course not! Mary is transferring to our school, so I thought I'd include her in our morning routine.

- A routine for both of us? How cute, just like a married couple. - Mary grinned at Gwen, as if they were already best friends and had exchanged secrets.

- Really? - Peter pretended to be surprised, not playing the shy game, because if there was one thing he understood about Mary Jane in her other life, it was that once she's put in charge of something, she abuses it, and abuses it too much. - I was afraid of saying it out loud and sounding syrupy or deluded. - Peter laughed, to Gwen's surprise. - But the rumor in class is that you've been getting close to the school nerd in order to date the great basketball star Flash Thompson.

- What a bunch of bad characters. - Gwen closed her eyes at the rumors that she would use her best friend like that. - I would never use you.

- Really? - Peter turned Mary's game against him, now aiming at Gwen. - You've never used me? In any way? - He laughed disingenuously, reminding her of when they kissed in the old apartment, Stacy's face flushing.

And if it was any proof of how women tell each other everything, it was how Mary Jane laughed knowingly at what Peter was saying, making it clear right there that she knew about the kiss between him and Gwen.

- Peter! - Gwen picked up the newspaper from the floor and hit him on the arm, pretending to be scandalized. - Let's get to class, Gwen has a scooter too. - She showed the electric scooter on the fence next door.

- Will you be able to keep up with us? - Mary Jane smiled at Parker and went to get the scooter.

- I can manage. - He grinned at Gwen, making her shy about knowing his identity secret, especially about how he was so fast and sturdy getting across town to school, while she always went with her electric fat bike.

- So come on, tiger... I want to see if it's all that. - Mary got on the scooter, taking one last look at Parker's house and then smiling mischievously at him, speeding off as Gwen got on the bike with the huge tires.

- Fuck... - Peter cursed ironically, giving the two of them a head start as he walked across the tiles, through the fence and onto the sidewalk, seeing the two of them already reaching the corner of this dead-end street. - This girl certainly knows, she knows I'm fucking my aunt. - So he laughed, giving his skateboard a boost, which made him accelerate greatly as he jumped onto the sidewalk with the strength he had, along with the stamina to cross the city easily with a skateboard.

One more day, Peter wanted to sigh heavily about how hard life was, but no, based on his having three life experiences with different adventures and routes, his knowledge of life and method of acting was following a pattern never before followed.

Having already lived in a world of the early 2000s, another spectacular life around 2012, one in a world of heroes and villains around 2015, he had now put all these lives together by starting high school in 2008, and this time with all this life experience it was the easiest thing to act knowing how to react to things or manipulate them to follow a route.

Gwen and Mary took it as their life's work to flirt with Peter at school, somehow their sweet and dear Stacy was being corrupted by the redhead who had transferred in the last few days and for some crazy reason, the two of them joined forces in wanting to make Peter's life unique and beyond a recluse who kept going to the teachers' lounge to talk and ask questions about subjects he was getting lost in his notebooks and notes.

As a result, people began to pay more attention to Parker, because his newfound popularity with the two prettiest girls in school and his friendship with the basketball star were really making him an interesting subject of gossip in the gymnasium.

Work, which was as natural as it could be, with Peter acting more inside the office, sorting out which photo to present this week about Spider-Man and following Betty, who really pulled him to lunch whenever she took a break, explaining about the company and guiding him, was interrupted when Peter sighed as he heard a shout from his boss's office.

- Parker! - It was J.J.J. who summoned him, and to the laughter of his colleagues, who were already used to the scene these two played out every afternoon, they soon saw Peter get up and walk away. - Don't walk, run, kid.

If Jameson was red on the other side of the glass that separated his office, now he looked like he'd eaten an extremely strong chili pepper, seeing how Parker stared at him as he stopped, headed for the water fountain to drink some water, ignoring his "summons".

[ ... ]

- Good morning, Mr. Jameson... - Peter said after three long minutes of him drinking water, under the grace of the office. - I've brought you some water, as coffee would disturb your blood pressure medicine.

- Parker! - Jameson shouted, but was soon flustered when an alert sounded in the room.

- Mr. Jameson, watch your blood pressure. - Betty said through the intercom.

- Parker... - Jameson sighed, even accepting the glass of water his new employee had brought. - How many times do I have to tell you that when I call you, you have to be in my office.

- Do you mean this week, or the count since I was hired last week? - Peter feigned innocence as his boss's face turned red again.

- It was a rhetorical question... when you're told to come here, come immediately. - Jameson said, but Peter was no longer looking at him. In fact, he was staring at the blonde on the other side of the room, who was holding a folder containing various documents.

- Hi! What's up? - Peter approached, understanding the hand as a greeting.

- Hello! - The blonde with the incredibly blue eyes replied with a smile.

- I'm Peter Parker, and who are you?

- Ahm... - The blonde seemed surprised by this because, however innocent the polite introduction, it was clear to see the intent in his eyes. - Felicia Hardy.

- Nice to meet you, Felicia Hardy. - Peter smiled, but never stopped staring into her incredible eyes.

- This isn't the best time, Parker. - Jameson sighed, as if he were looking after a child and not an employee.

- I was just introducing myself. - Peter explained himself, but even he didn't believe it, to the laughter of the man next to Jameson.

- It's become common knowledge throughout the office that this is how you flirt. - The man next to Jameson said under Peter's fake frown. - Especially with your coworker.

- Life is too short to act so serious. - Peter grumbled. - But hey, what did you fail at to have to call me?

- Nobody failed at anything! - Jameson shouted, only to wave at the glass pane, appeasing Betty from pressing the intercom that sounded more like a siren, so sighing, Jameson put a smile on his face and pointed his hand. - As you already know, this is Felicia Hardy, the Hardy family is organizing a ball at the Police Department in support of George's heroic acts against the villain Curtis Connors and Spider-Man.

- You mean the villain Spider-Man confronted, saving the city and the life of his best friend, a police captain? - Peter corrected everything he'd heard, to the laughter of the blonde next to him.

- Yeah, something like that. - Jameson cut off the argument. - We need someone to cover a story about the heroic acts of our police here in New York. Miss Brant is already likely to accept, as she never misses a party... but I also think it could be an opportunity to give her field experience.

- That would be great. - Peter changed his joking countenance, which he always used to lighten the mood in the office, and became more professional, as he always was when things were serious.

- Don't get too excited. - Jameson said. - This is a very important party, Miss Hardy's mother is sponsoring it and I'm hosting it.

- I can handle it... - Peter smiled confidently, really enjoying how acting with a firm hand was the right way to gain Jameson's respect, even if they still had their heated arguments every afternoon. - So, you're setting me up with Betty, I'm even shy like that. - And finally he returned with his ironic manner, to the laughter of the blonde.

- Well, nice to meet you. - Felicia wrote down Peter and Betty's names, handing Parker four invitations. - See you tonight at the ball. - She left the office in full view of Peter.

- I think I'm in love. - Peter admitted, under a weary sigh from Jameson.

- I really did get a son, not an employee. - J.J.J complained, picking up a card. - Parker, go to this address and get yourself a decent tuxedo to wear tonight.

- Don't you trust my fashion sense? - Peter declared, pretending to be offended, but still accepting the card.

- You come to work in a skateboard, pants, a sweatshirt and a printed T-shirt. - Jameson stated the obvious. - And no, Betty isn't your date, each guest is entitled to one companion. - Jameson didn't care who Peter took.

- You look like you've never been a teenager. - Peter grumbled as he left the office, wondering how anyone would be so happy to go out for the evening.

[ ... ]

Speeding through the buildings of New York, executing skillful maneuvers, Peter headed for the coffee shop where his Aunt May works. Despite the turbulent traffic and the crimes of cabs overtaking traffic lights or minor accidents that occurred due to the inattention of some behind the wheel, the city seemed to be calmer lately, the fact that Peter as Spider-Man was being more ruthless with the bad guys reflected in a result of unease, with crimes occurring during the day when Peter travels with his webs through the countless buildings of the city, leaving the most daring criminals to venture out only in the dead of night, which is really where crime organizations seemed to grow and Peter was already thinking about how to work on it.

The music echoing in his ears before his iron spider suit, which although it was intended for superior enemies, was still the most adaptable to put on and retract back into the collar around his neck without wasting time or arousing suspicion.

(Turn around, bright eyes)

- Every now and then I fall apart. - Peter sang in addition to what he was hearing.

(Turn around, bright eyes)

- Every now and then I fall apart. - He continued singing, heading towards Central Park.

Seeing children trying to cross the busy street. Peter approached in an agile landing motion a little ahead to block traffic while helping them cross safely, waving to them as they continued on their way and he took a big leap onto a building.

- And I need you now tonight

- And I need you more than ever

- And if you only hold me tight

- We'll be holding on forever

- And we'll only be making it right

- Cause we'll never be wrong

- Together we can take it to the end of the line

- Your love is like a shadow on me all of the time

(all of the time)

- I don't know what to do

- I'm always in the dark

- Living in a powder keg and giving off sparks

He spots an elderly woman struggling to carry her shopping bags. He glides up to her, offering to help, accompanying her to the bus stop and all the time singing her song.

- I really need you tonight

- Forever's gonna start tonight

(Forever's gonna start tonight)

Looking across the congested street, Peter comes across a broken traffic light, causing chaos in the traffic. He quickly takes control of the situation, directing traffic with gestures and acrobatics, ensuring that everyone crosses safely. At no point does he stop with his music.

- Once upon a time I was falling in love

- But now I'm only falling apart

- Nothing I can say

- A total eclipse of the heart

- A total eclipse of the heart

- A total eclipse of the heart

Hiding in an alley, Peter soon checked for cameras, so when he saw nothing nearby, he tapped his chest, his iron armor retracting, leaving only his ordinary clothes.

Heading towards the café, the familiar façade of the café came into view.

The bell at the top of the door jingles, announcing his arrival.

- Peter! - Exclaims Aunt May from the other side of the counter, under the attention of her coworkers. - What brings you here? Is something wrong? - She said worriedly, coming quickly towards him.

- Maybelle Parker... I've come to ask you on a date. - Peter got down on one knee, faking a very forced romantic scene.

- Stop it, boy. - May lifted him up, slapping him weakly on the shoulder. - Be serious. - She laughed at his antics and headed back to the counter, accompanied by him, who stood where the line would be, but there was no one waiting.

- Serious. - Peter laughed at his coworkers, finding it funny. - I have to cover the police charity ball at Jameson's house... so I need a date.

- He immediately thought of his aunt, what an honor. - She pretended to be shocked.

- May. - Peter said, looking straight into her eyes. - I know we don't have many opportunities to go out and have fun, and you need to go out... just imagine becoming one of those old aunts who watch TV and drink tea... my goodness. - Peter laughed at his aunt's face, who always had a soft spot when people thought she was old.

- And... - Peter pulled out his wallet and a Black card. - Jameson is paying for my tuxedo, so I've worked out a way for Betty to persuade him to release the card to buy something for our companions.

- What do you think? We'll have lunch together on your break, then we'll buy a tuxedo for me and a dress for you... I can get you back in time for work. - Peter looked at the time, seeing that it was almost time for his aunt to have lunch with him near his house

[ ... ]

- That's so cute! - May clung to Peter's arm as they walked into the store Betty had pointed out. - But aren't you worried about what people will think?

- People will always gossip and think what they want... and I don't really care. - Peter didn't deny his aunt's contact. - And having you in my arms is nothing to be ashamed of, let's let them gossip about their aunt and nephew being so close, God knows what a boring life they have to look after.

- Do you want to wear a black tuxedo or a white one? - May asked, under a strange look from her nephew. - Black, definitely black.

- It's better to avoid so much attention. - Peter laughed at his aunt, who went to one of the saleswomen, thus beginning an annoying process of putting on and changing clothes until she found the one that best suited him.

- Oh, I think I like this one. - May said as she spun around and let her dress do its balancing act.

- It certainly looks good... very good indeed. - Peter approached her, pulling her to him with a discreet touch on her ass.

- You're getting naughtier by the day, aren't you? - May smiled, seeing how a more distant saleswoman could see where Peter's hands were squeezing.

- Someone needs to look after my aunt, and the salespeople are already thinking we're a couple. - Peter laughed, at what Eugene made fun of every day, saying that finally the "Parker Penis was becoming Chad". - And I love that color on you... the neckline too, especially it. - Peter dried off and couldn't help comparing it to today's busty blonde, where, even though his aunt wasn't as well-endowed as Felicia, each of them was still sexy in their own way.

- My God, you don't know what you're doing to me. - May smiled as she looked him in the eye. - Helping me with the bills for the new house, being so responsible, looking after me and always picking me up from work.

- You're ashamed, Aunt May. - Peter whispered seductively in her ear.

- Anxious about some acquaintance, seeing your nephew flirting with his own aunt? - He whispered seductively in the other ear.

- Excited by them discovering that at night, you wear a naughty spider-woman costume and have your wrists tied to the bed, - Peter looked her in the eye, again having that dominant expression of the first time she was seduced, of how he allowed himself to surrender to his powers and act freely. - Being totally at the mercy of his considerate son?

- Oh, my God. - May blushed and covered her face, trying to hide her silly smile. - You're becoming more and more naughty, what do you hear with my shy Peter?

- It's your fault for throwing me into this stream of active and passive interludes every night. - Peter smiled at how he always tied her up in bed, but that she was also the one who liked to tie him up sometimes. - You're the one who has no idea how my personality and ego have changed.

- Oh, darling, I know exactly what I'm doing to you. - May looked up with a teasing smile. - After watching all your lives and how hard everything was. I know exactly what I'm shaping you into so that you can enjoy everything you have and get everything you want.

- And what's your goal? - Peter moved away slowly as a saleswoman approached the entrance to the store. - Because just today I had to restrain myself from flirting with my teacher Munroe, restrain myself from pulling Gwen into a corner and kissing her in front of Mary Jane, feign shyness around Betty to have her tease me like a horny slut at the innocent newcomer and even shamelessly blow-dry a busty blonde client at the company, right in front of Jameson.

- Let me take care of everything, you just have to keep acting the way you have been... and tonight at the dance, maybe you'll get lucky. - May smiled as she straightened up and indicated that she would want to take this one.

With the saleswoman getting all excited about closing the sale of a tuxedo and a dress, she quickly went to prepare everything, while the couple got changed, little knowing that these two were not boyfriend and girlfriend or married, but an aunt with her nephew.

And that brings me to the end of another chapter.

I hope you're enjoying it and don't forget to comment. XD
